Is that pic legit or a meme you found? Because if that’s how the Transportation folks in Mass programmed that sign, it’s awesome wicked awesome.
Yup pure legit Mass Transit Authority runs all the signs. This one was a year or so ago.

We're supposed to get pounded tomorrow. Weather forecast is a quarter inch of ice and 4" to 6" of snow.
I plan on closing the office at noon and sending everyone home.

Yea agree turning is always a challenge, i try to take a little wider approach(if there isn't a vehicle at the opposite side of street where I'm turning) and always go slow into turn then apply a little throttle to pull out or straighten out from the turn.
I learned the hard way in my younger days with my first 4wd truck and took the turn a bit to fast and ended up bouncing the front tire off the curb, no damage, just to me:blush:.
A lesson learned though.
4wd goes better in snow but does not stop or turn any better. New 4x4 owners often have to learn that the hard way. My wife's Chrysler minivan with four Blizzaks goes almost as good in snow as my 4x4 trucks and probably stops and turns better. I'm the family gearhead but she's learned and won't roll on anything but Blizzaks in the winter.
When turning sharp corners in town I often switch to 2WD, make the turn, then shift back to 4WD. Unless the weather is really horrendous and you can only go 5 mph anyway.
I should mention that I lived briefly in the far northern tier of NY where I met my first wife and spent a lot of time there. People here in PA have no concept of a true white-out and 6 feet of snow.

We had between 1/4" and 1/2" of ice under the snow. I caught hell trying to push the snow with my riding mower and snow blade since I couldn't get good traction.

After I got done I ordered a snow plow for my Pioneer 500 UTV. The extra weight will help.

Blasting around in a foot of snow is my idea of a good time but ice there is nothing you can do. I plan on closing my office at noon today and sending everyone home. They're forecasting 1/4" of ice and 4" to 6" of snow. Been raining since last night but starting about now the temps are supposed to drop and turn everything to ice.

I would have used chains if I had them. I was wanting to get a winch and plow for the side by side anyway. And I probably will get chains for it too. The side by side will work better even without chains since it weighs 1200 pounds versus the lightweight 38" cut riding lawn mower.

I woke up this morning to more snow that I will have to go clear. I might get out to play in the snow with the Ranger today or wait until tomorrow. Most of it will be gone in a few days. It is supposed to be in the mid to upper 30's over the weekend and up into the 40's next week.

I got chains for my snowblower about ten years ago when we had a bad blizzard. They make a yuge difference.
