I took some street snow photos near our home on my way home from work today. According to some, since there's not 3" of snow on the street, I shouldn't have it in 4wd...

Yeah, it was pretty deep in Toronto - don’t see a plate up front - guessing you’re in Quebec - I stayed out of it - nowhere to go for me anyway - took it easy and came up with a new meaning for “working from home”. ?

Where is that?? We've been seeing snow daily for about 1.5 months now. Normally its just a little each day which is good for skiing. We need to get to the lake shore and see what the shove ice looks like. Might be a good year for that. This is what shove ice looks like, in the spring..

That would be in McCall, ID. The high pressure dome has been pushing the storm track to the north.

My 4x2 did pretty well in the snow today. We had about 1 1/2" of snow last night. A Tahoe parked two spots from me at Wal-Mart could barely back out of its spot--Spinning everywhere. I was worried I might slip a bit too, but I idled right out with no slip at all.

Do you have any weight in the back? In 2wd mine does fine if it's a light fluffy snow. 2-3 inches will make problems with the heavy wet snow we usually get.

My family is from KY an they pretty much shut down if they get snow.

It doesn't look like it, but this hill is quite steep and occasionally it gets slippery and front WD's can't get up it. That is Mount Ripley ski area seen on the far hill side.

No weight. If we had much more snow than we got today, I'd just stay home. It seldom hangs around long enough to stay a problem around here.

I'd like some wet snow for a change. The last several years we've only gotten the fluffy dry stuff. Even with 5 inches, you can't make a snow man out of it. Sucks for the kids when you have a snow day and the snow is lame.
