Anybody have some secret solution for the proximity sensors icing up and alarming every time you stop? That is extremely annoying.
Push the button on the console to disable the sensors when conditions won't allow them to work properly. Same thing if you drive it through a car wash.

Looks like a snow dump to me.. This is area's that city or county government own to store snow until spring melt. All the city's here have these.

I have a Pace Edwards UltraGroove. What are you using for your T-slots? I'm thinking about fabbing something up myself.
I actually found some decent mounts at a wrecker, off an 05 Escape. Fit perfectly. Made the crossbars myself.

Yup, checking out trails along a river and came upon it, had some gravel piles as well, maybe an RM yard.

Since there are quite a few new Ranger-ites on here this winter than last, I'll pose this question again since I'm always interested in hearing people's methods.

What is your foot clapping routine when getting into your Ranger? haha
Left foot, kick nerf step.
step up.
right foot kick nerf step.
step in right foot
step in left foot
hold on to steering wheel the whole time so I don't fall out on my face.

The weight is staying in the bed. I don’t put a ton of miles on the Ranger during the Winter, especially during Covid times, so gas mileage either way is not a big issue.
So how much of a difference do you notice in snow driving performance with the extra weight in the back? Looks like those buckets take up a fair bit of space in your bed so my preference would be to not have those unless the performance was significantly increased.

During the winter, I do not haul a lot and most things will fit in front of my bed extender. If I need more room, the pails will take a minute to remove.

That is the thing with adding the weight, it is difficult to know, did I have more traction and control because of it or would I have had it anyways.

The only thing I know for sure is I went up my steep driveway In 2H with no traction problems and I am not sure it would have done that without the weight.

My step son would just say, put in 4H and away you go.

So far I am keeping the weight in.

10" of snow over night & my Ranger has to come out so I can help family members clean their drive ways and side walks. all stock except for side boards, mud flaps & vent visors.
it moved 3 feet forward & then started to spin the rear tires. engaged 4 wheel drive & off I went
