Pretty sure that was me. We had a dusting of snow the last 2 days. Still more salt in the wheel wells than snow. Fortunately I've got silver so it doesnt show as bad. Supposed to get some more snow tonight and tomorrow but I'll believe it when I see it. Probably get a touchless wash Sunday or Monday. We'll see how the weather goes.Since someone posted about more salt than snow, feast your eyes on the joy of winter.
I've been using denatured alcohol in a spray bottle to try to make those steps not so bad. It works okay when getting in, but after driving, I ain't flexible enough to reach down a spray.Pretty sure that was me. We had a dusting of snow the last 2 days. I've got the same steps as you and they are a little treacherous when snow and ice builds up. I always grab the door and the steering wheel in case I slip. I'm always careful getting in when it's like that but things happen and I kind of like skin on my shins.
I love those old bridges. Unfortunately most all of them around me have been replaced. Is that one still functional? If so can your ranger cross it?Took the senic route home from work today.

I hope they hold up David. Mine took a beating - the main structure held up pretty good but the traction plates did not.I've been using denatured alcohol in a spray bottle to try to make those steps not so bad. And ditto on the shins, I dread the day that I'll inevitably skin them on those steps. If not the winter than being careless coming back from kayaking. Bah! =p
Like you, I grab what I can and pray! =D

Hey Duke, looks like the black hasn't held up as well as the stainless treads I went with. There was a little corrosion I cleaned up in '21 with a scotcbrite after taking off the plates and cleaning underneath. They looked good in the fall during my annual wash and wax but underside on the bars had a little surface rust at the welds. I'll hit those and some of the other spots under the truck with encapsulator this summer.I hope they hold up David. Was this you?I love Lake Michigan, just not in my driveway. Ranger stayed tucked in the garage for most of the week. I live where the + sign is where it shows 30+ inches. So ready for Florida in 12 days.

Maybe you could take the treads off, clean them up and use some bed liner on them.
Thankfully we live on a cul de sac and the city cleans up the driveway ends…. MostlyWas this you?

Or maybe cut some aluminium diamond plate to replace those treads?Hey KJ,
No, they are a real mess. The side steps have been off for a while now. I was thinking I might just order the stainless treads or do just as you suggested and use bed liner on them. I got busy with too many other things and they’re still hanging from the rafters in the garage.
To be honest, I don’t miss them but I hope to get them back on this Spring.
Or come to colorado and I'll sell you my tremor steps... ?Hey KJ,
