Well I am happy to report that the problem has been fixed! Mechanic found a £14 gasket after the DPF that needed replacing!

Congrats...the same mechanic that was 90% certain it was the turbo?

Yes haha fair play for him for finding it and owning up to making a mistake on saying it was the turbo!

It’s a diesel, no wonder nobody in the US couldn’t identify the noise
