Push Button Start Conversion Help……

Hi and Thank you for your help….. I have had a few lariats in the past. Now I have a 2022 XLT. I overlooked that the XLT did not have a push button start when I ordered it seven months ago. I am wondering if myself or the dealer can convert it to push button start? I do have remote start on my key fob If that matters. Thanks for your help…………………………………………UPDATE: Per the page 2 video, it is approximately $1200 for all parts and pieces and labor.

Don't belive it is possible. Also if it were me I'd prefer the key ignition over the push button start.

The four automobiles in our family all have push button starts except for the Ranger. I guess in time I will probably get used to it but it’s aggravating right now. Not sure if the dealer would be the one to talk to to see if this is possible to do.

You'll probably want to consider independent shops that have extensive electrical expertise.

I rotate driving two vehicle, one keyless and the Ranger with a key. It bugged me for about two weeks and now I don’t even notice.

Why?

Lets say you have your vehicle decide to run out of control(well atleast do nothing if you.hit the brakes) just turn the damn key off and you are set. With push button it doesnt always do that if you are moving.

But that sounds a tad irrational to me.

When's the last time you've heard of runaway vehicles?

I think that's remote start.
