I think its been discussed on here somewhere.
I expect it would be complicated as XLTs dont have the key fob sensing receiver, let alone changing out the ignition switch.
But I would be all for it if possible. After I finish upgrading my mirrors to Lariats.?

I have actually priced this out with my local dealer. They will not install it for me but worked with me to find all the parts. It took several visits and I think we may have missed a few parts. The parts alone was close to $1800 and a local shop that specializes in automotive electrical quoted me $2000 and it would take a few weeks to complete. In addition, the dealer warned me it would void parts of the warranty. I will see if I can find the parts list but I think I tossed it because the $3800 and voided warranty was not worth it. I could take the money and just go buy a new Lariat.

I am leasing my 2020 Ranger XLT 4x2 with plans to buy out at the end. However, I am now considering turning or trading in for a newer Ranger when the lease ends in 2023. I will likely choose a 4x4 Lariat or maybe an EV Ranger if available.

Wow that’s a lot. When I bought my ranger I had to order it and they didn’t know anything about them, so the dealer and I didn’t know it didn’t come with push to start

Wife & I really like the push start in the Subaru. Looks way too much to add on
any other variant. I think a PHEV Ranger would be great, but how much$$$?
A little sad the dealership had no idea about the push start, it's on their site.
