Need help for remote start x

I'm trying to figure out how to disconnect the obd2 to hook the cable for the remote start. In the instruction video that shows the f150, it's on back of the plug but on the ranger its not there. I see that the lanyard leads to another connection but I don't know if I need to disconnect it there plus there's wires behind it. I never messed with a vehicle wiring before so I don't want to mess anything up. I posted about this in another thread but not getting any help.

Take a photo of the back of your obd2 port. I’m not at my car but pretty sure mine went inline there.
