I'm looking down at the gap between the caliper and rotor...you can see and measure the pad thickness...tough to photograph...I had posted better pics of the gap a few pages back the last time I had the wheels off...

Thanks. Having changed a few pads in my day, I know the pads that are on the side of the caliper where the pistons are usually are wear out quicker, and are thinner, than the ones where the wheel mounts. I was just curious which side you were measuring?

I only measured the outside...I can see both sides and they're visually the same except the inside is too hard to get a stick in there...

To give you an idea...I'm a hyper light timer...I can almost sense when it's going to turn on me so I brake with light pressure with plenty of distance...

Fudge that. I tried that when I installed my eibach springs and shocks because I accidentally popped it out anyhow one trip on the highway and I was like nope nope nope and reinstalled it.

Got it. Well played.

I'm a coaster... mostly country driving... the goal is to disengage the cruise and have the speedo hit the speed limit just as I get to the speed limit sign, then reset the cruise.

I'm a nuisance... the only guy driving the speed limit. Integrity, Moral Fiber and all that stuff most people today can't fathom today. I'm also an officially registered Civility Tester.

I'm sure I'm a nuisance too lol...I lift off when I see a distant red and coast/time the light...impatient drivers blast around me to a hard stop waiting for me to cruise by right when the light turns green...I can sense their irritation as I roll by at near full speed...

Some of the Super Bolts have become detached from the fender so it was due for some TLC...not surprised considering the stress endured with 100+K miles they have been on the truck...once one fails, it's likely to continue like a zipper causing adjacent studs to fail if not detected...I removed all four flares and replaced any failed/failing attachments and the flares are solid once again...a couple of exterior LEDs also was tended to...

Near Mill Mountain Star on Blue Ridge Parkway...
That's a cool place to be along twilight. Roanoke glitters...
Blue Ridge Pkwy is awesome, as you know. I've been up and down it a lot in my lifetime.
Be sure to stop by Mabry Mill for breakfast if you get a chance! And don't forget to post a pic of the mill, which is always lovely this time of year ?
