Costco 93 Oct is all I've used - 25 miles away in IA it is $.10 - .20 per gallon cheaper than 87 in Illinois. So I won't have to change when my Tune kit ever comes in.

Which tune did you order?

Ford - I was looking to get the CAI part of the Roush but it seems to be longer delay yet. Also I want to use my "points" to defray part of the cost.
Nice! I have the Ford tune installed and love it (I’m sure that I’d like the Livernois tunes as much or more, though I wanted to maintain Ford warranty as much as possible). I also installed the Roush CAI, bought it from here and it’s currently in stock: https://www.cjponyparts.com/roush-cold-air-intake-2-3l-ecoboost-ranger-2019-2020/p/422178/ The Roush Performance Pack Level 1 is in stock as well.

How do you change to sport mode ? I don’t recall there being driving modes in my XLT.

Last fall I noticed the crappy IL winter blend was causing my new truck to run like crap, Sam's Club premium is good and priced well so I've been running it since and averaging 20mpg stop n go 35 total commute suburbs weekdays. Still no road trips yet...

In-town driving here in Phoenix. This is typical for me on 91 octane from my local Costco. I did try the 87, and the lag was exactly as described by @FX4Offroad. It was way bad. Extra pennies for 91 is money well spent for me. This was taken this morning at just after 6am on my way to work. Yep. 90 degrees at 0600. Aaaaaaah!

I drove enough to run the tank down, and pumped 16.156 gallons of Sam's Club 93 octane premium into the truck. It will take a bit more driving to say that there is a huge improvement, but I see some difference in how the engine responds to throttle input from a standing start, and through 30 miles of 30-50 MPH rolling hills on the way home. If anything, I think that the power comes on more quickly and smoothly when downshifting as it transitions from coasting down one hill to powering up the next one. Bottom line - I think there is something to it, and I will continue using premium for the foreseeable future. After a good 5000 mile break-in, I may experiment with regular fuel again, but right now, it's an unnecessary variable in the break-in process.

Turbo + high ambient heat = I would never even chance regular grade fuel to save a few bucks regardless of what computer wizardry is happening. Turbos create heat.. heat creates pinging...

Also too add when using premium fuel you can get better MPG as long as you manage to keep your foot out of it(hard to but possible I promise).
