One thing I've learned very recently (or it was really driven home recently) is that you need to appreciate the little things while you can. You never know when your last meal/outing/whatever will be.Thank you for the update. I will not quit praying. There is so much in this to pray for, but also things like a favorite dinner to be thankful for.
Hi Andy,My wife and I have been caring for her 87 YO dad and 98 YO mom. Her dad passed last Tuesday and now her mom seems lost. It’s fortunate my wife is retired and can help fill the emptiness her mom has.
Blessings to all.
Thank you Phil.Hi Andy,
Thoughts and Prayers for you and your wife on her dad's passing....
Best,
Phil
sorry to hear about the loss. I will keep your family in my prayers. My wife and I have been caring for her 87 YO dad and 98 YO mom. Her dad passed last Tuesday and now her mom seems lost. It’s fortunate my wife is retired and can help fill the emptiness her mom has.
Blessings to all.
Hi Andy,Thank you Phil.
It’s a weird dynamic when you age. You see your friends start passing until you no longer have many if any friends left. The other side is that your family keeps getting bigger and bigger. So overall the family seems to be most important since the beginning. I wish more people would understand that.
Again thanks for your prayers and blessings for all.
Prayers for you and your family.friends i got home from work tonight only to find out that my dad thought my mom may have had a stroke. i rushed on. she did. been at the er all night so far with them. im not ready to let a parent go yet, shes in general healthy and even still works at her bizz a few days a week. i was just telling someone here how tough she is recently and how she beat cancer. im requesting prayers and positive thoughts for my mother to be well and restored to health / ability.
thank you
Hi Mark, sorry to hear about the loss. I will keep your family in my prayers.
Hi Phil,Hi Andy,
I knew so many Engineers/Administrative Assistants/finance people and external Supplier and Ad Agency people.... It is almost daily I get bad news about passing's on to a better world... Here in our neighborhood too....It is part of the aging process that has come to folks before us too, but today, news travels so much faster as we are so connected. You are well focused on family! Many do not realized until it is too late...
best,
Phil
That exactly is the key. Enjoy each day, each moment. Live without negativity and de-stress yourself as much as possible. One thing I've learned very recently (or it was really driven home recently) is that you need to appreciate the little things while you can. You never know when your last meal/outing/whatever will be.
Every one of us has an "end date" - we don't know what it is, but we all have it. We need to enjoy whatever time we have.
