not sure what the 5g time to 60 is but it feels like a while lol.
1669068535141.png
the vehicle i traded in to get the 5g was much quicker and made around 500 hp... so of course it feels slow to sixty. I will say the 5g does not feel like a 4 banger most of the time. more like a healthy 6 or small v8. my 4g zero to 60 is measured in miles instead of minutes.

Interesting tidbit...

The stock 5G Ranger has near identical 0-60 and a slightly quicker 1/4 mile time than a 6.2L Raptor.

2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor SuperCrew 6.2L 0-60 mph 6.6 Quarter mile 15.2
2019 Ford Ranger XLT FX4 SuperCrew 4X4 0-60 mph 6.5 Quarter mile 15.0

And just for fun...

2022 Ford Maverick Lariat FX4 AWD 0-60 mph 7.0 Quarter mile 15.4

These are from zeroto60times.com which is a decent general indicator.

Interesting. The new F150 Raptors run a 14.1 quarter mile. My Ranger tuned on 91 octane seems about on par with that on 33s.

I've never timed my tuned Ranger at 0-60 or 1/4 mile.....My life with the Ranger is BK02 (before K02 install) and AK02 (after K02 install) and is judged by the many off-the-light street races I've had down on College Ave in Ft Collins. Needless to say my Ranger has won more than lost downtown with street tires on....lol.

Our Ranger's will stand up tall with the STi crowd and the GTI folks.....but probably stay away from the Mitsubishi's, the Dodge crowd, and watch out for the 3.5L Ecoboost F-150's and the Focus RS......

Don't get me wrong, she still moves really well with the K02's but there is a noticeable difference with 20+lbs extra at each wheel over street tires.

BTW....I had @Discount Tire put my old Goodyear's on my stock wheels so I can change out for some street fun if I ever feel the need for real speed.....

I run the Livernois 91-93 Octane Hard Shift Performance Tune.....
No Downpipe, just a Cat-back Gibson Performance Exhaust.....
I think the key descriptor for my Ranger is.....She Be Real Quick

Notice I did not say fast.....

Latest runs 0-60 and quarter mile on dragy app. I think it has a little more in it with better conditions.

A poorly driven STi, I could see that. But even at that altitude, a well driven, stock STi is a low to mid-13 second car.

I know College Ave really well. Not particularly a great place to race.

Sure glad my daughter graduated from CSU before street racing became a thing on College Ave, I've often heard that we should be accepting of customs of those from other nations and cultures but I'm not sure I'm going to accept street racing on the busiest street in a busy college town, apparently that was brought to CO from the lone star state - where everything is supposedly bigger and better.

Then you should know there there are A LOT of "poorly driven" STi's cruising on College Ave....
