I wonder how the dimming feature will work with different bulbs, you know how they don't just shut off, they dim to off. I think I have LED's as well.

I have a XLT and mine is yellow as well.
Watching this thread since I wanted to replace to a much brighter white light.

Mine is definitely not led, and i looked at the Rangers buyers guide spec printout and don't see anything specific on what package gets led or not, in fact there's no mention at all about interior lighting upgrade, it does mention led cargo lighting so maybe if a truck is equipped with that it adds led to the map lights in overhead console.
Can anyone confirm on the led cargo and also have the interior leds too?

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Thanks, I'll check but you happen to have a pics.
I didn't take any photo's of the install, but it is simple, used a tap set that just has pins that slid into the mirror plug, black & purple wires. I cut the connector off that came with the set and soldered on the power plug from the camera, (just the 2, black & Red) as its 12 volts so you need to use a step down buck converter to 5 volts if your camera needs it. The converter board I used is very small and has variable or fixed output, and I used shrink wrap to insulate it after testing.
Here is the tap, you might find one cheaper (I did NOT want to modify the OWM wires)

And here is the power converter I used, VERY small and fits in the mirror housing with ease.

As long as you're good with a little soldering this is easy and fast, I did one in my wife's Prius also.

Pics of Lariat Tremor with LED. Look very white in person. Photo looks a little more yellow than they actually are.

OK so that may be the answer to the mystery, if the cargo lights are led so are the map lights in the overhead console ,just not under standing what package level this comes with, but in any case mine didn't lol.
