I wonder how the dimming feature will work with different bulbs, you know how they don't just shut off, they dim to off. I think I have LED's as well.

I wonder if we can run a DC power for the dash cam through there?![]()
Pull down on the facing the back seat.
I don't see why not. Seems doable.I wonder if we can run a DC power for the dash cam through there?
Easier to get the power from the mirror plug with a tap kit, worked great.I wonder if we can run a DC power for the dash cam through there?
Thanks, I'll check but you happen to have a pics.Easier to get the power from the mirror plug with a tap kit, worked great.
I didn't take any photo's of the install, but it is simple, used a tap set that just has pins that slid into the mirror plug, black & purple wires. I cut the connector off that came with the set and soldered on the power plug from the camera, (just the 2, black & Red) as its 12 volts so you need to use a step down buck converter to 5 volts if your camera needs it. The converter board I used is very small and has variable or fixed output, and I used shrink wrap to insulate it after testing. Thanks, I'll check but you happen to have a pics.
Yes sirDo you have LED cargo lights?

Here is the tap, you might find one cheaper (I did NOT want to modify the OWM wires)

And here is the power converter I used, VERY small and fits in the mirror housing with ease.

As long as you're good with a little soldering this is easy and fast, I did one in my wife's Prius also.
