I work for the City of Portland.
The pandemic moved us to all working from home. Highways were clear. Air was cleared up. I put maybe 2000 miles on my car over the past years - almost 3 years now.
But the push now is to get everyone working back downtown.
Speaking with forked tongue. :(

Portland seems to be having a difficult time for sure.
Keep your head up and eyes open, mate. Be safe!

Yeah, and like Sweden they will tell you not to charge your car during winter, and like California not to charge your car in summer.

A construction contractor friend of mine recently told me that Washington state is banning the installation of any new natural gas furnaces.
So is New York. No new gas furnaces or stoves.

So glad I moved out of Oregon upon retirement. Such a beautiful state that is totally screwed. Portland was such a beautiful city.

I live here too. This State has gone freakin nuts! To add, this was by rule makers and not even the Legislature. To top it all off we have no new nuclear facilities, removing hydroelectric dams, coal is evil.....where will the power come from. Crazy!!!!
I retired from operating hydro in Oregon. I keep in touch with my co-workers and it seems like a deliberate management style to end hydro. The mindset of what is going is incomprehensible.
