The DESIGN? Likely. The problems with a new design? Probably not. But, yeah, go ahead and shit on my comments if it makes you feel good Dave.
It's called a discussion Tom. I'm sorry you cant handle someone disagreeing with your comment. It's the truth and if that hurts your feeling then so be it because first year runs usually have MANY problems. Take a good look at the Bronco and that should be enough proof. I could go on about the first year runs I've had problems with from trucks, cars, snowmobiles and motorcycles.

I'll check them out!
That's who I used. Send them the Ford build link and they get you a quote very quick. You give them a few documents and send them 1000$ and it's done. I plan to fly in and drive back. My dad is gonna come with.

Like others have said. Figure out if the dealer is working around MSRP pricing(or lower like the other guy mentioned). If so then mock up the Ranger you want on Ford's site & send it to the appropriate dealership at the end. I believe you can link that order to a specific dealer of your choice in the end. They should contact you after with some additional info they'll need from you including a down payment.

I placed my order for MY22 on 11/15 & received a build notice on 12/9 f or a build date @ end of Jan. Hopefully if you get your order in soon you get scheduled soon after as well. M

Good luck finding the dealer you're looking for!

Had nothing but great experiences with first model years, I wouldn't let that scare you if your timeline is flexible. (this is a particularly collaborative, vetted launch as well) 6G will bring ranger into the modern age with improvements across the board. If the timeline isn't flexible, the current Ranger is competitive with the current outdated class for sure and is a fine choice.

Get everything in writing, they should be able to show you the itemized costs even though we don't have the B&P tool yet. I'd just build it how you want it with the 21 tool to get a close approximation going in.

Something to think about. If you don't mind traveling or having it shipped you can order through Granger Ford in IA. They're a sponsor here and doing 3% under invoice on all ordered Rangers. You could email them and tell them you'd like to go over pricing with them and to have someone call you. At least this way even if you decide to stay local you'll have the MSRP numbers and the invoice numbers on hand.

You will not find a more honest dealer in these times we're in today and they have no additional markups. Only a $180.00 doc fee and that's it. I have my Bronco order through them and also my Jeep order and know many who've dealt with them and have nothing but good things to say.

Another suggestion. Since you live in Virginia, depending on where you are, you are only about three hundred miles away from Delaware. If you don't mind a road trip, why not try Sheridan Ford New Ford Vehicles for Sale near Wilmington DE | Sheridan Ford? I got my last two vehicles from them, a 2014 Explorer and my present 2019 Ranger, and there has been absolutely no problem from the sales advisors or management during the whole process. It is family-owned for two generations, father and son, and it sure seems like the Sheridans do not let their people pull any scams on the customers! The sales advisors sit down and do a Build & Price with you, giving you the MSRP minus whatever available discounts Ford has going at the time. Actually, they give you either the discounts available at the time of signing, or at delivery, whichever is better for you. And everything they have ever told me they would do or get or charge me, they have done exactly that, even throwing in perks like a box of cookies when you buy and service with no charge for little things along the way. I have no connection and get no benefits from the company, but it just breaks my heart to see members saying that their dealer ripped them off or they don't trust them, etc. and so I want to tell people who are looking to buy a Ford about this place. You can bet that I am going to get my next Ranger (or Bronco) (or Everest) from them!

Nov 19 of this year, I did a build and price on the 2021 Ranger I wanted as a point of reference before going to my preferred dealer and sitting with the salesman I deal with. I told him I wanted 2022 2wd Supercab Lariet, 501A and Black Appearance Package. He printed off the build sheet with MSRP and the X-plan price I would get. There was only about 800 dollar difference between the MSRP of the 21 and the 22, so I figured they were being straight with me. I deposited $500, and signed the order. If you have a good dealer and salesman, it is easy.

When the order went it, it went is a priority 19, the dealers default. When the salesman checked a couple weeks later, he said Ford changed it to a priority 10 when they received it. No vin yet, but it is in the queue.

If it’s 22 foot long do they charge more?
Yeah, I was really confused when I was reading this...I was thinking "How do you add another 4.5' to a Ranger? Is this some super secret order option I didn't know about?"

For reference [puts on grammar police uniform], the apostrophe goes where you're abbreviating, so a 2022 Ranger becomes '22 Ranger. This is to prevent confusion with the 22' or 22 foot Ranger, which is a standard Ranger with with a 4.5' person desperately clinging to your bumper.

27 week?!!!!
My salesman got an email from Ford a couple weeks ago saying they only had parts to fill 11% of the black appearance orders. He asked if I wanted to cancel the package but since I ordered Nov 19th, I'll take my chances with the 11% or hopefully shortly there after.

ordered a black pack w/ spray in liner XLT on November 24, got a build date of January 17th (week of) on December 9th. I'm not sure how mine is moving along so quickly, may be that I'm in SE Michigan about 45 minutes from MAP. still have to pay that $1300 though.

I plan on going to the dealership tomorrow to order a 22' Ranger. Do I need to do anything special? Am I still able to walk in and place my order like normal?
When I ordered my Ranger Lariat 4x4 in Sept, 2021 (as a '21 then, now I'm waiting for a '22), I used the online configuration tool to choose exactly what I wanted on my truck (Lariat, 4x4, tow, 501A, int and ext colors). I asked three dealers to 'bid' on my truck using this build/spec document.

I found one that up-front stated they added $2,000 (or more, I forget exactly) to the MSRP on my spec document. The other two had bids that stayed at the MSRP but one had more 'delivery' charges so I ordered through the local dealer who had the lowest price and promised me (I kept the VM that said this) the price would not be any higher. Good luck!

Just ordered at my local dealership with no issues and under MSRP. Everything signed and official. I will say that the the Ford spray in bed liner is a 27 week delay.
If I may ask, did you order the Black Appearance Package or the bed liner as a separate option?
