What size tires did you go with?
What are your thoughts on this kit after more seat time?
I went with 265/70-17 Bridgestone Dueler Revo3's. Both the suspension and the tires are nice.

Small list of what I like about it. The on road characteristics are cleaned up. I have that confidence through turns unlike stock where I had to slow down. Offroad has been set pretty well. No it doesn't have a perfect ride offroad but you can control the truck with ease compared to stock. You get the right amount of clearance. Some think you need a 6 inch lift..... You don't unless you are making a rock crawler and I wouldn't bother with a new vehicle for that. Me scraping thing underneath just doesn't happen anymore. Towing, unlike most suspension kits out there Old Man EMU designs thier kits for practical use including towing. I just moved and had to tow my 1983 280ZX and it did great. With the auto transport from U-haul the total weight was around 5,500 lbs and the truck didn't sweat it. Ride comfort was still there and the headlights were not pointing to the sky.

Now yes i took a gamble when I ordered the kit since no one here could say much and the people I worked with haven't heard of Old Man EMU. After installing it I can say i am impressed. I have had others ride in the truck before and after the lift and they notice the difference immediately. If that isn't enough I dont know what to say. Also it still rides like a truck and not like a car.

Hope this is the info you are looking for.

I saw your post further down on tire size. Sorry about that. I have 18's and want to push the 33 envelope but really do not want to cut out the rear crash bars. I may have to stay with the 32.5.
I like that OME comes with the rear springs as I do tow a boat often. I am wanting the clearance to overland. I would like to the front to be slight higher.

In all honesty if you wanted to be slightly higher in the front then you might as well just get the bigger tires. To run 33 inch tires you're probably going to want to go ahead and just get new crash bars by BDS or Fabtech depending. 18in Wheels I can't say for sure but I know with a 17 inch wheels you usually have to do that or sometimes people can get away with just a quarter inch wheel spacer up front. You might even be lucky if you were to go with the OZ Rally raid Wheels which are actually a 17in wheel and would be better for off road. They also bring the tire out by 1/4 inch roughly so you would get the same results from putting in a quarter inch wheel spacer. That is my suggestion but to each their own. Running the 32in tire with the old man emu lift I can say is pretty good. I'm considering going a little bit higher but only with tires and that's about it. If clearance is your issue I can tell you right now old man emu will do what you need. Also if you're going to run a heavier load on the truck constantly not counting the boat you're going to tow then they do have a heavier Duty suspension kit that will help with the extra load.

All right, we have complete OME Spring packages up. They come with two leaf packs, four U-bolts with nuts and washers, and OME's requires greaseable shackle kit.

Again, ETA is up in the air, but we did get most of the deets nailed down (minus images. We're using generics right now).

What about the front Coils if I were to go with the heavy for a winch set up would that give me more height with out the winch and would the ride be worse than the standard set up? I will likely go with a winch set up eventually.
Thank you

I'm going to tell you right now that if you do not add weight do the truck has a constant it will raid worse with the heavier Duty suspension. The heavier Springs up-front are meant to have both of the heavier front bumper with a winch as a combination and the stage 2 Springs which do lift the Springs a little bit higher are meant for an extra 600 pounds constantly being carried on the truck. If you go to the heaviest Springs it's meant for an extra 1200 pounds has a constant wait on the truck. The only reason you would want to go to this heavier Springs it if you're going to have the extra weight on your truck. Do not just go for the extra lift if you're not going to add the extra weight. If you do that you will be disappointed.

I do not think I need anymore than just the standard rear springs. Was curious as to what front would be like until I got the bumper and winch.

For the front Springs on standard load you can run just the bumper if you do not have a winch. They do give some basic spacers you can put on in between the strut mount and the frame to give you an extra pump just to compensate for the extra weight. When you go to put on the winch you're going to want different springs and shocks up front.

Actually OME/ARD told me the strut is the same just different spring. I think I am just going to get the the heavy ones.

From when I talked to ARB a bit ago, they also mentioned that the only different in the springs is the height of the spring itself. The spring rate is not changed.

ARB operates under Australian law, which has really hard limits on lift height, so they tend to design their kits a little differently than US-based suspension manufacturers.

I'm actually surprised that the shocks are different. A while back when I talk to him about the possibility of the bigger Springs especially for the rear they were telling me I would want to change the shocks for the heavy duty.

Yes looking at the OME parts list the front strut is the same part numbers just different springs. The rear shocks have different part numbers if you want a firmer valved shock. I might have to call ARB again and see about these springs because when I called yesterday they said it would be a stiffer ride without the winch. But if the Spring rates are the same just a taller spring one would think the ride would be the same just with a taller stance.
Stage 3 would be the place to get it if I was not a Ford dealer and have a wholesale supplier so I am getting a pretty good deal and actually the HEAVY kit is cheaper than the standard.

I used to work at a Ford dealership and still ordered from stage 3. You'll get a better deal through them for the ARB kit
