Those who have experience with both, which do y’all prefer?

I like the looks of the Eibach shocks for sure. I like that the OME kit comes with leaves. No idea which one rides better but I’d assume the OME kit due to the leaf replacement. I’d love to see some Rangers with either kit towing or offroading

So its a bit obvious already that i have the Old Man EMU kit on my truck. I have not had any other aftermarket suspension on my truck at all before this kit either.

Now the big difference between the two is the Old Man EMU is a Lift Kit and the Eibach kit is a Leveling Kit.

Now some here will say that a Leveling kit is all you need to go OffRoad..... Unfortunately that is not true..... Technically speaking you dont need an aftermarket suspension kit to go OffRoad for certain trails. But at the same time if you are planning to go offroad you want to do more than just lift the front. You also want to lift the rear. Why is this? Simply for the fact that you dont want to bash anything with you truck on the OffRoad even though you still take risk when goung OffRoad.

Better yet there is a Member here in Colorado that waa on a trail and damaged the bed because the tail pipe got hit and bent the bed. Was that member lifted in the rear at the time? I honestly have no idea but it is somethong that can happen.

Now obviously there arw a couple of different ways to lift the rear. Leafs, Blocks and Shackles. Out of all Leafs are the preferred method regardless of vehicle manufacturer but not always an option depending on what the market has to offer. Thankfully the Ranger has options including Old Man EMU wich is made in Australia. Other leafs I can't say but I certainly hope the people making them were getting paid well enough.

How long have I had the Old Man EMU on my truck? Time we are only speaking just over a year. In mileage we are talking about 29,000 miles from the install. How is the ride quality for it ever since? Pretty darn well to say the least. Yes I still feel bumps in the road but then again I did buy a Ford Ranger. Not a Rolls Royce.

How does it compare to Eibach in comfort? Well I havent ridden in a truck with the Eibach kit but I would not be surprised if comfort is close. OffRoad performance? Chances are tou will get better performance out of the Old Man EMU since it was designed by a company that specializes in OffRoad touring.

Something I will add is that for most of the suspension kits available I feel that the Old Man EMU is the "Best Bang For Your Buck" kit available on the market not counting the BP-51 kit.

The answers were pretty much given in the response above. Very different kits both very good at what the do. As far as comfort goes, both will be very similar but the OME will outshine offroad. The OME is also a rear lift and leaf replacement so it will lift the rear of the vehicle as well as handle better with a load where the eibach is just an upgraded rear shock so it will handle better but no change with a load.

The final answer to the questions really relates to the use of the truck. I think the eibach kit and $400 to spend elsewhere could be worth it to edge out the decision but it really depends on your use of the truck
