I'm not sure if this is the thread to get into this too deep, but, I did record some drive line measurements. Maybe I'll post in the other thread about the low speed shutter. IDK.

Impressions? The truck rides amazing! Is the low speed shutter still there? Yes. It's EXACTLY like before no better or worse.

I'll say this much on that subject. I don't think this issue has much, if anything, to do with the pinion angle and that TSB. But that's just me.

I would do this spring up-grade again in a heartbeat. After everything It came to just over $710. Not Bad IMO. Pay someone to do it? Who Knows how much? I like to do things myself. Would someone else have gone the extra mile here. I have my doubts.

Anyway, If anyone wants more details I'm here to answer any questions. I've learned a lot from this site and I'm all about giving back.

P.S

Two photos.

Looks great.
Thanks for the write up on the install.
Honestly, this is the info that I like on a forum. Helps me make educated decisions when doing for upgrades.

Although there doesn't appear to be a tone of interest in this sort of write-up w/photos. I'm going to finish it off anyway. Mainly because there isn't a ton of info with photos on this site. That and MAYBE It will help one or two thinking about doing this install.

The DS went mush better after the short comings I addressed earlier. The shackles/bushings go together better If you do both sides equally and at the same time. Also leave the grease zerks off if only to let air escape while trying to squeeze (nut on each side ) everything together.

You'll have to jockey around the front frame mount bushing a little, but it will go. Extra set of hands will go along way here. Mainly on the jack and to stand on the spring itself. DS DONE!

Honestly these are great. Especially with photos. Wished someone would have been so thorough before I did my leaf swap.

Even though torqued to full spec, the ubolts loosened substantially after some driving. Highly recommend to retorque after a couple hundred miles.

Thanks and you're most welcome. I couldn't agree more on the visual aspect.

I was also surprised there wasn't much to pull from.

Thanks for the heads up. I will keep a close eye out and go around the truck for sure with a torque wrench!

Possible dumb question here, but I’m wondering if you can install the OME heavy leaf pack without upgrading the shocks? I have a 22 Tremor with the Fox 2.0’s and am hoping to get an Alu-Cab canopy camper installed soon. I’m trying to avoid the squat and hoping I can install the heavy leaf pack to use with my Fox 2.0’s for now.

The plan will be to swap for The ARB BP-51’s later when I’ve had time to recover financially from the Alu cab purchase.

Thanks!

You can, but you will be maxing out the OE shocks. The OME springs lift the truck a good amount, and the OE shocks are made to handle the additional height.

If you keep weight on them at all times you might be ok.

With 3.1" of added lift over stock they may over extend the 2.0's.

The Eibach's that I'm running allow 1-1 1/2" max over stock. This is running a fine line (OME 1.7")and will have to keep a close eye on them. So far so good.

Limiting straps? Without keeping a lot of weight out back 3.1" lift is asking quite a bit, imo. Don't hit a pot-hole, snap!

Thanks for all the replies, the bare bones Alu cab (no interior gear) comes out around 550lbs so i think that will decrease the lift a good bit

Yeah, that's a fair amount of weight.

What's the worse that can happen anyway? You're going to replace them soon enough, right.

@UnregistredHypercam2 how much do your OME springs 'sag' with your full load out?

I don't think it will drop as much as you think.
