Old Man Emu (M-18000-RO) Installed

Got this installed the other day, haven't seen any posts on it so thought I'd show what it looks like and answer any future questions! https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-18000-RO

Looks pretty accurate at 2.5in in front and rear so it mostly keeps the forward rake. I have a small truck camper so I'm happy to keep that rake so it sits level when hauling.

Just went for a spin down some logging roads today and notice a big difference already compared to the FX4 package, definitely stiffer and more responsive but also recoils and handles the wash boards better too.

That's a pretty comprehensive and affordable looking kit without being over the top. I saw these components on the item page:

It looks like there are plates for the top of the adjustable front struts? In some other thread I dredged up an article talking about what adjustable struts do as opposed to spacers and those look thin like the ones I bought a while back and haven't had installed (low priority item).

I also downloaded those instructions since they illustrate how to align the low radar unit. Good info.

I wonder if the rears shocks are gas or foam cell units? From what I've concluded for offroading the foam cell may be more desirable in ride quality.

Did you add a dust boot to the fronts? Kit doesn't look like it comes with them (only for the rears)

What's funny is this is simply the basic Old Man EMU lift kit that came out 4 years ago. I know because I had it on my 2019 Ranger.

the strut spacers go on top of the strut and give additional lift for heavier front ends. I have 1/2 spacers, which gives me a 1" additional lift, to go along with my HD front OME struts. I have the ARB bumper and a winch. This keeps my front end from sagging. The ride is about as good as you can get before you jump to 2.5s and adjustable compression and rebound.
