Anyone know if a quart of oil will fit behind the rear seat in that open gap?

I want to put one there but don't want to slam the seat shut and pop an oil bottle back there if it won't fit....

I don't know about that, but a extra quart of gas will fit in with the engine oil.

I have a bottle jack in a hard case behind my rear seat. I'm pretty sure a quart of oil will fit just fine.

Do you have an empty? Try that.

I found that the HVAC wont blow as well with a bunch of stuff behind the seat.

I had various stuff back there like I load behind the back seat of every truck I have ever owned, and one hot day I noticed the A/C seemed to blow better when I rolled the window down, well I had too much stuff blocking the two big vents behind the rear seat, I had to reshuffle everything, HVAC works much better now.

Keep those two vents clear, that's my 2 cents.

Excellent advice!.
I hadn't thought of that, and until very recently I had a big blanket stored back there (because you just never know when you might need a big blanket, right?).

That is exactly what I had, I always have a blanket, gloves, rain coat and misc back there, I even had the backseat head rests back there, too much stuff.

Woah. I put a sweater back there on a recent trip and felt like my HVAC took a poop. Would have NEVER made that connection. I guess I won't put anything there after all. Thanks!

I have a pair of rubber boots back there, but near the center.
