Which Transformer movie had the one that was a giant transformer assembled from piles of parts? The second one?

Yea well that is 10mm sockets. One day they are all going to manifest into a single omni-potent being and next thing we know we will all be serving a new overlord.

Been turning Wrenches / Sockets since mid 80's and am amazed as to why we have so many different styles of screw and bolt heads
it's because the common ones suck, but they're so common that nothing else can get a critical mass to be the new default

:crackup::LOL::LOL:
I have had quite a few sockets disappear into oblivion on cars, with aircraft it is most certain without a doubt has to be found before the aircraft flies, to eliminate any possible event of that socket getting caught up in a flight control cable pulley or dropping on a wire bundle termination block. I have seen aircraft go out of service until it is found, Safety Of Flight takes priority.
We actually have adopted the military protocol of tool inventory before and after shift, all tools must be accounted for at the end of a shift. Thankfully though aircraft do not have lets stuff this engine into the engine bay and give you (ZERO) room to work on it, at least as bad. I cannot tell you how many times I wanted to bring the engineer out to the garage and hand him the tools and say, you designed it-you do it. If that was to happen to all engineers, then automotive maintenance would be so much easier.
What looks good on paper or computer drawing, does not always translate to actually having to get your hands into a tight space just to remove a bolt.

funny.
Was cleaning out a lot of junk from my dads toolbox after he passed and came across many many socket sets of this style and thought, hmmpff, never seen those ever, never will, and tossed them into the bin for scrap recycling.
Guess I made a mistake.
You've got a damper on your truck, huh?

What kind of man throws out tools?

I would say, tack weld the 10mm to the ratchet, but I bet it would also 'walk away'.
Doesn't work with interdimensional objects...
