The locking rear differential is unlikely to help you in snow country. Maybe in limited circumstances it might help you to get unstuck, but it would not be engaged in icy or snowy conditions. In fact, it will probably make you slip more if used on ice. It is really good for pulling a boat up a slippery ramp. Its good on a rocky hill. Its good in mud, especially after you are stuck. On ice it has extra slip and slide.

What? The only time I ever got stuck (1976 till now) was in the snow, and a locking rear axle got me "un-stuck"... in the snow... in Colorado... aka snow country.

Thanks Yeah I am old off roader . I have cabin in mud country. My F150 I sold to buy my Ranger was just getting to the point of oh well scratched the truck who cares.. My Ranger is a bit straight and clean for the trails I encounter. Very tight and lots of sharp brush. Prob better for my health More walking So far my trip ticker is showing 27.0 with cruise set at 68mph i am happy with that. My cabin is a 400 mile round trip . this makes life a bit easier at the pump.

BTW I do like the Tech package. Nice trade off . Now that I am figuring it out.

Yes can appreciate snow driving. Last few years in northern wisconsin have been 125" plus with 10"-12" storms common

I’m having the ARB rear locker installed in the next week or so… not cheap but good to have anywhere. Didn’t need the 4x4 but couldn’t find a ranger with an e locker when buying 2 years ago

...and then there was this year. You know I can drive to Denver in 8 hours?
8 hours? Not driving the speed limit you can't. ;)

But, believe me, I know. I think 3/4 of Texas is here right now.......
