Don't get the wrong idea it's your wallet do what you want and if the prestige price tag is worth it to you and have had it my comments are strictly from a quote unquote performance advertisement.

Not a surprise. Cameltoe Toyota tried to stick us for $17k over invoice on the wife's car. It's their business model and they prey on English as a second language customers who don't know better.

Thanks for the heads up. I will be sure to steer clear of that place in the future. I think I may have been there once before years ago. It's pretty sad that more and more dealers feel the need to fleece people these days. Sad state of affairs. Makes companies like Tesla seem more and more attractive with their direct order model.

When I click on specs....its listed as an XLT with the 302a and fx4 packages. Sticker is $43something. It shows a Roush grill in the pics....but no mention of Roush on the included sticker??

Very miss leading. What a ripoff.
I've seen similar, I've gone to the same dealer for years, since 1993! Family owned. I have always been able to buy through the fleet manager. Well the business sold to some large multi dealership organization, fleet manager retired but his replacement was train by him and he was ok. Mid 2021 was thinking on upgrading, every time I enquired on an advertised truck fleet manager would get back to me, irritated at sales group saying that truck had already been sold! Yet they were still advertising it online! This happened 3 times! They lost a repeat customer. I have another family owned local dealer I am now with. Very sad, dishonest dealer now..

I'm gonna get in on the action and design a damper Ranger. There's going to be dampers everywhere! On the hood, tailgate, glovebox. doors, headrests even mini dampers on the seats like an air ride suspension. lol This is easily a $15K markup. ?
FEAR the Dampner:rockon::rockon::rockon::rockon:

I saw a Tremor with a lift for $65k down here in So Cal.
Shouldn't So Cal be disqualified for any purchase? You guys pay way too much for just about everything in life, don't you? It's part of living in Cali.

Just saw this fella...
What the heck?

Where is this?

I've got a dealer here that doesn't want to give me anymore than $30k for my 2019 XLT. I've said no because I know what these dealers are getting for these things used.

Looks like an Auto Trader error.

That truck is HERE

VIN is 1FTER4FH7MLD68048 which is a Roush, not what's shown. It was being sold for $52,500 at an Ohio dealer.

Roush.webp

Yeah, we get f%^& down here all the time, from anything. I envy you all in Arizona, Texas and Florida but someone has to sacrifice here in the front line.

one of the worst things about dealer modified vehicles

the take offs go somewhere, but i'm sure the value doesnt come off the price....so essentially when you buy one of these, you've bought all the add ons in addition to paying for the full as delivered vehicle.
They turn around (or use it in their body shops) and sell the wheels, tires, bumpers etc for even more coin at full price.
My brother-in-law is a parts manager for a Jeep dealer. He was telling me that that have stacks of stock Jeep wheels and tires that were take-offs. The parts department has control of them and paid $0 for them. So, they are very negotiable on them.

I agree, they are an interesting dealer. Actually, I think most of the dealers on that stretch of Camelback Road are quite questionable. ABC Nissan and Camelback Toyota come to mind. Back in December 2016, my wife gave me permission to buy a new Mustang. Ok...she runs the house! I had already driven the GT, and figured that is what I wanted, but I had to give the Ecoboost Mustang a fair look. Camelback Ford had an Ecoboost coupe that matched what I was looking for. My son and I went down there to test drove the Ecoboost. After the test drive I told the salesman and the sales manager that I wanted a GT and listed the options. The salesman returns from the sales pit and tells me he can do a trade with one of his sister stores and could have the car the next day. He pulls up the info on his computer and starts reading me the details of the car. He then heads back to the sales pit to work a price on the car and forgets to lock his computer. While he is talking to the sales manager I hop on his computer and quickly determine that the GT was at Surprise Ford in west suburban Phoenix. He comes back with his price that was higher than what Surprise had the car advertised for and additionally added a $500 dealer transfer fee. I thanked them for their time and went to Surprise Ford and purchased the car for invoice minus the rebate. if Camelback Ford would have just done the same invoice deal and added @$75 to send a lot attendant over to Suprise Ford to get the car, they would have had a sale.
