Mishimoto/PPE trans pan comparison

Hey Barry...Can you verify the PPE part #328053200

It looks like Mishimoto has it's own gasket? PPE reuses OEM gasket...how many times can that be reused?

If only dropping the pan once to simply replace it, then you should be ok. That said it isn't a bad idea to get a new one just in case. Once the PPE Pan is in place and torqued down, you should be set as there will be no need to drop it any more as long as regular service is performed.

Isn't replacing the filter regularly part of maintenance? Are OEM gaskets sold separately?

I would suspect Ford intended that filter to last 150,000 mi. As for the fluid change, I personally feel fluid change enough with drain and fill in regular intervals will help extend the life of that filter.

As for the gasket I do believe it is available separately. Verify with your local Ford dealer

From what I recall even their 'standard' pan holds about 3/4ths of a quarter more fluid. I don't recall anyone having issues with high temps on our forum so I don't feel there's much of an advantage going with the deep pan(s). I like the finish on the Mishimoto but wonder what the gasket does in addition to the factory setup. As for the pan baffling it would be interesting to understand what the difference means. All that said if I were to get one today it would be the plain 'standard' sized PPE.

Only issue is my dealer told me it would void my transmission warranty and it's not worth arguing over. They didn't say anything about the. MBS transmission dipstick when they changed my fluid/filter. Re-used the stock plastic pan too.

Your dealer must be related to Pinocchio. I asked my dealer about it before I purchased a PPE after hearing others make the same claim and they said that bolt on items like that do not void the warranty as they do not change the mechanical function of the trans. A mod chip on the other hand would.
