Hey guys, I'm in Marketing at AWE here in the Philly area. I've owned a few Rangers, including an '88 STX dubbed 'the Danger Ranger' I used primarily to haul my dirt bike to some amazing riding spots in California. Currently, I'm getting our Ranger product line read to launch and looking for anyone in the Philly area who could lend us their Ranger for a few days in exchange for a new system, hand built right here. DM me and I look forward to answering any questions as we launch our Ranger product line.
Too bad you weren’t still in Cali. I would have let you used mine.

Hello!

I am not currently a Ranger owner, but I have been researching a new vehicle and this is on my list. Figured I would join and browse around to see if it will meet my needs. Prior to my current vehicle, I've owned a couple of Rangers and an Explorer so this will be like returning back to what I really know.

Thanks!

Welcome Chris. I see you have a '17 Tacoma,I trade in my '16 Tacoma for my Ranger and couldn't be happier! Have you had a chance to drive the Ranger yet? Not sure where you are in the valley but I bought mine from Peoria Ford on Bell Rd and they were very good to deal with.

The first thing you'll notice is how smooth the tranny is compared to that God awful 6 speed Taco! There's way more usable power in the Ranger where the Tacoma you had to be up around 5000 rpm's for it to get out of its own way. Don't let the 4cyl deter you as it has plenty of power and torque and if you want a little more just drop it in S mode and it's a rocket.:)

I hauled a complete ford 8.8 rear end out of a mustang complete with brake drums in the back of my 05 focus st. That was the last manual transmission car I owned. I had a 5 speed when I lived in Hawaii an it sucked getting stuck in traffic in it. That was in the late 80's so I bet it's worse now.
Dude, that was at least 30 years ago, if you lived in Honolulu, tell me what your commute points were and time of day, and I'll give you an updated time you'll spend in traffic now

I second the engine/trans combo on the Ranger. I'm consistently amazed at how well this combination works. It is a little btity 4 banger, but man can it go! The low end torque on the ecoboost is impressive too.

Hey Everyone. I have a 2019 Ranger XLT modified by the dealership. I purchased it brand new about a month ago. It came with a 3.5” FabTech Lift, 33.2” MT All terrain tires, 20” XD wheels, custom leather seats, Rhino Lined, tint and weather / bug guards. I wasn’t planning on getting a Ranger already modified but this one caught my eye and I couldn’t resist.

I switched over from a 2011 FJ Cruiser that I fully modified. I’ve had my eye on the Ranger ever since the international Wildtrak came out and am really happy with the XLT.

I’ve got the A.R.E CX Revo truck cap already on the way and have some more fun stuff planned for this rig in the coming months.

Thanks for adding me and I look forward to learning from everyone on this forum and hopefully meeting some of you in the near future. I’m in Northern Virginia.

According to a reliable source there was approximately 570,000 registered vehicles on Oahu in the 90's, that figure in 2019 was 950,000, so yes, traffic is way worse now. And yes, people still don't know how to drive in the rain here, can you imagine how it would be if it snowed?
AMR is right on the cusp of "town" so I'd say the drive from there to Ala Moana @ 0800 will be about an hour, IF there are no accidents or stalled cars.
By contrast, Makakilo to Ala Moana @ the same time (you poor soul) about 2 hours, Ewa Beach to Ala Moana about 2 1/2-3 because of traffic on Fort Weaver Road.
