Their build time and shipping sucks for sure. I have been waiting on an ARB bumper for almost a year.
All I get from the distributor is false claims and worthless shipping dates.
And all I get from ARB is excuses and telling me not to cancel my order because that will put me to the back of the proverbial line...

Kind of curious as to what distributor you went through?

My ARB skid plate went in easy. The directions were certainly lacking and left out a number of important steps and failed to mention one of the nut zerts is different than the others. As well as missing one of them and 1 bolt. I was able to put them on in 2.5 hours by myself. I used a floor jack to lift the rear plate and held the front two with my hand and leg.

I received my ARB Skid Plates in less than 10 days of ordering and they delivered them to a remote location in the NW corner of Wyoming without a problem, after I supplied GPS coordinates.

No, it is for my son's 1st Gen 4Runner.
I originally ordered the bumper through the bumper super store out of Colorado. They gave me the runaround for over six months without any definitive answers.
I canceled my order and found a distributor who claimed they had one in stock and ready to ship, MBGRAM out of Kalifornistan. I paid them and then I waited, and waited. This order has been going for 4 months now and I still don't have a bumper or answers.
ARB/USA has no information on my bumper and advised me not to cancel this order, or I'll be waiting another year.
And what gripes me is unfinished tube bumpers are going for as much as a complete ARB.
So I wait very impatiently for my son's bumper to arrive.

Just because one person is having problems with a first gen 4Runner could simply be with the fact that the supplier or suppliers he's going through are causing problems. Manufacturers don't focus on the old stuff if they're not selling much.

Above statement is pretty true, and we have Ranger stuff pretty readily available so dont let that experience sway you. If you decide on another product for other reasons thats a different story.
