3 hours and 2 beers later; ARB skid plates installed with no lift. Is is doable? Yes, is it fun? Absolutely not.

Also ditto on the instructions. Absolute garbage. Huge shout out to SklnBnz for the real instructions!

Well I gave up. It just doesn't fit. I end up with a huge gap between the back bolts and the crossmember on the front skid. I just can't get it. Guess they'll now go in the pile of crap I bought and can't use.

I installed mine this weekend. No lift and no helper. Used a Pelican case to prop up the plates since they are a bit heavy for one guy to lift up alone while crawling under the truck.

Made some notes on the install sheet attached due to some omissions and misprints. Will figure out the Oil Plug situation closer to my oil change time.

Those 3 front ones. Is that a "nut bolt" assembly that came with it, that we use?

Installed the ARB skid plates on my 4x4 Sport tonight. Took a bit of finagling, but it looks good and feels solid. Got a Fumoto valve, but the extension snapped in half with almost no tightening. Not impressed.

Did you stick with the original screw on the front 3. Looks like it.

The three front ones don’t get used… only if you have the ARB bumper… you only use the 4 M10 (2 from the kit on the front and reuse two factory bolts on the back).

Ok check. Now can it be installed with the two front bolts loosely screwed in?

I keep hitting the transfer case mount and the back bolts are miles away from the crossmember.

As you can see from the OP's first post that is a no sir. Now it may give you a little more compared to nothing but if you got a Lift(yes it matters) with bigger tires then you should be fine as long as you dont go stupid
I have a level and 32s but I slide in a rut in the mud and boom you see the aftermath. Just cosmetic at least this time

Right, so you want $100 more than I can buy them new. Makes sense….

Sure does, considering the shipping charge. It has to go LTL, to heavy for FedEx or UPS. Gonna be well over $100 for shipping.

But anyone can buy them for $666.40 brand new and not scratched and beat up and straight from the seller with receipt is my point. Be realistic and you could probably sell them to someone on here, but you’re going to take a loss, or just keep them sitting in your garage I guess.
