Maybe I'm missing something here, it has happened before; but it seems to me that you can see instantaneous MPG or total average MPG only on the dash. It looks like the average is for all the miles and gallons since 0 on the odometer. What use is that?
I wanted to reset MPG in Trip A,(or Trip B) since filling up, to get MPG for that tank of gas, but couldn't.
I have done much town driving in my 450 miles since purchase, and my average MPG reads out as 13.6. (Average speed about 14 MPH, too...??? This is a far cry from suggested town MPG. ( I put about 60 highway miles on the truck when I drove it home from the dealer.)
Do any of you knowledgeable folks have any insight on , A) MPG readout on the dash, or B) The MPG number I'm seeing. Owner's manual does not address this in detail.
Thanks, Roly
