No, I only have about a 3/8" wide piece of velcro. Maybe I should try more. The top of the cable keeps wanting to go to the right of the damper, even with the velcro.
I used a "fuzzy" Velcro roughly 4-5" long x 1-2" wide (Lowes Home Improvement)...this keeps the upper cable stiff to force it to fold below the Velcro and thick enough where it won't slide in-between cable and bed side...

Funny how this has morphed from a "Performance Mod" thread to a "Damper Mod" thread ?

Sounds similar to mine and it's worked fine on my '19 for years. I added some black tape on the bottom to hold it in place.

Maybe I just don't have enough diameter-wise. It stays in place, its the kind with a slot that you can get really tight.

My velcro tie came off an extra HDMI cable I had in the draw. When I put my damper on my Tremor it seemed to close perfect without pinching between the cable. I still added the velcro and tape just in case it went AWOL. lol

I'm hungry for the Ford Tune as well....but I've got an extended warranty on the truck in play for awhile and if something goes south I'm just uneasy that any warranty work powertrain wise "could" be denied due to having the tune.

Ford Performance was kind enough to send me an email with their explanation as to how warranty work may be affected as it's still considered an aftermarket part regardless of it being branded as "Ford Performance"

I'm going to speak with my local Ford dealer and get their take on how they view the tune and what support they may offer as it relates to the existing trucks warranty.
The Warranty is still valid. The Ford Performance Tune gives you a 3-year/36,000 Mile Ford Performance warranty when installed by a dealer.

This kit is approved by FORD (it is 50 state legal).

But you are also covered by the Magnuson Moss Act:

What is the Magnuson Moss Act?
According to the Act, an automobile manufacturer cannot void your vehicle warranty due to the installation of aftermarket parts. Unless the aftermarket part that caused the vehicle failure or contributed to it (15 U.S.C. 2302 (C)). This implies that the warranty cannot be “voided” if the dealer has no claim. Also, that the stock part failed to perform for unreasonable reasons. A general understanding of the Act is that the law was actually intended for people modifying cars. Also, ones that were getting their cars serviced outside of dealerships. Dealerships were attempting to void the warranty to put all the liabilities on the customer’s head. The reality is that a manufacturer cannot its warranty contingent on you using their parts.

If you purchase a vehicle from one dealership, you are not bound to get the oil changed from the same dealership. You can get the car serviced from any other dealership as long as they are using the appropriate parts.

Canada probably also has some kind of protection act as well, and your right there is a 3yr/36,000mi when installed by a dealer....but once the 3yr/36000mi warranty expires the remaining powertrain warranty is not guaranteed to cover any issue that could be blamed on having the tune installed....so let's say 4yrs and 51,000mi your turbo fails ...or an injector takes a dump....it technically could be refused if your tune was still in place.

Just running premium fuel all the time will net you some extra HP, rumored to be around 300.

The Ecoboost engines have OAR (Octane Adjust Ratio) and will tweak up the power when it sees premium being ran regularly.

It will take a couple of tanks to see the benefit.

An intake and exhaust will net you a bit as well, moreso the exhaust.
Dr Zaius, I too have the Bilstiens 5100 all around. I like alot.

They have to proof that what was installed caused the failure. I had Nitrous on a Turbo Supra and the dealer replaced the turbo under warranty ($2100 at that time).

The beauty of Ford Performance is it is blessed by FORD.

Just a note - this isn't correct.

The stock 270/310 numbers are based on 91+ octane fuel. If you run regular you'll see ~20% decreased in power and economy numbers. You don't see more than 270/310 out of the stock engine without a tune even running 93 octane.

Stock Rangers with 87 octane are putting a lowest I've seen of 235 (~276 crank HP) to around 245 (288 crank HP) calculated at 15% driveline loss.

I haven't seen lower numbers that should be there if the 270 is only with premium.

Not being confrontational. I just have never seen lower numbers.

If it is indeed making 20% less with 87, there should be sub 220 RWHP dynos.

I don't doubt that factory numbers are conservative, but the factory 270/310 are SAE J1349 premium rated numbers, so you don't get more than that on premium, but you get less than that on regular.
