Missing jack and tools

When I bought my used 2020 Ranger back in Febuary, I had looked at a few and made the mistake of not looking under the back seat of the one I ended up getting to ensure the jack and tools were there. I finally realized this recently (thankfully not during a roadside emergency).

The OEM set is JB3Z17005C for the tools and AB3Z-17080-M for the jack. Obviously, to go OEM the price would be somewherebetween $150 and $200 at least.

I'm perfectly alright with getting a generic scissor jack off Amazon or what not. My main concern is dropping the spare tire which seems to require the tool kit. Does anyone have a good recommendation for an aftermarket tool kit or way to drop the spare tire should it ever become necessary? I'm also not against going to a U-Pull-It scrap yard and looking to see if I can salvage one from a wrecked vehicle if anyone knows what other cars besides the Ranger use the same tool kit & jack.

Lastly, and this is a Hail Mary... Since the Ranger I bought is a "RAV" in that it was bought back from the original owner as a Lemon, and I have a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty, would I be able to make a claim under that warranty that the jack and tools are a missing component and have Ford provide a replacement?

Why not ask your dealer about the warranty? If not covered, I would go to a junk yard for the missing jack.

Junk yard might be good and also check eBay for a junk yard selling them.

I think the lowering lug thing just uses the lug nut wrench/jack handle. I always carry a breaking bar with a 19mm or 3/4 deep socket to get the lugs off an I always assumed it would lower the spare.

I'd buy a decent bottle jack and see if a salvage yard has the tool to let the tire down.

Funny part is the funnel was there, yes. Not sure how or why the jack & tools ended up missing, why the people who got rid of it would keep that stuff or if the Ford folks removed it at a some point. Who knows?

That's kind of the direction I'm leaning. I can get the OEM tool kit for around $50, but was wondering if there are any after market options that would work. Looking around at local salvage yards, doesn't seem that anyone has any Rangers on the yard, which is a good thing in a sense!

I almost had to use it once but I have a 12V compressor and a plug kit in a bed box. 4 plugs slowed the leak down enough to get it 5 miles to home. Floor jack and impact tools are more fun.

This. However, I've had 2 times in my 47 years that I have needed to change a tire alongside the road, and both were my wife's vehicle as opposed to either of my Ford Rangers. The first time, though, was at 3AM on a long road trip several hundred miles from home, and it was bad enough there was no plugging that tire.

That said, I've made it home more times and done the job properly with my trolley jack and impact tools. But it only takes one time to know you best be prepared!

Mine is in a hard case behind the rear seat.
There is no rolling around of anything in my truck.
I hate a rattle of any kind.
