I've been installing FM-Modulators "back-in-da-day" in my cars since they were not built with AUX cable ports.
PLUS I only use ZUNE mp3 media players... yeah yeah I'm "LOW-TECH"....
It's just I've invested so much time with the ZUNE CPU program to manage my music.
I'm up to 32,000 songs in my music library!
Microsoft has a proprietary code or program that is locked so every time I tried plugging my ZUNE players thru the USB ports of any vehicle; I get the typical message "Device Not Recognized/Device Unknown".
Sadly BOTH my RS & Ranger no longer have an AUX port.
So I bought two of these iSimple FM Modulators for both my rides. Based on pics that I found on various forum sites, I also have a set of Metra "Euro" antenna cable adapters.
At some point, I gotta "get-off-my-butt" and to disassemble the dash and install each kit.
Simple install, Find a (+) and (-) connections via the headunit harness. Locate the OEM antenna cable from the headunit and attach the adapter cables.
Lastly, find a decent RCA-to-AUX 3.5mm cable to plug into any headphone jack on your handheld device.
YES, I have flash-drives... 256GB Samsung flash-drives LOADED with tunes. One for the Ranger & one for the RS.
But I can't seem to create file commands to take the music-files already on the flash-drive and play my individual custom playlists like on a ZUNE or iPod.
My Ranger's NON-Sync Radio is SO freaking SLOW recognizing my flashdrive. I have the radio setting on random but ALWAYS wants to play the same songs "over & over".
