is this done for, or is there a chance it could come back?

My thoughts as well… ugh. I was having a hard time getting this to sit flush with the fender, high pressure water has seemed to move it out a bit further… and, this. ??‍♂
Yeah I found mine on eBay and they don't sit perfectly tight but I wouldn't expect them to short out like that. Never had an issue with a pressure washer on them.

Water must have found its way inside and short circuited the LED board. All what you can do is wait until it dries up and see if it still does it.

Is there water in there? Hopefully it'll fix itself after it dries off...that's the only way to tell...see if you can get a replacement warranty...this one shouldn't leak...

Sorry just getting in and saw your post. Like the others said it's possible it could dry out and be fine. If it does go buy a Lotto ticket. ??

If theres no water in there then it could be a short on it for sure. I actually had this happen to my set within the first month of having them installed. And the infamous auto car wash caused the issue. But mine had water get inside and caused the issue. Good news though, if you bought them from an authorized MM dealer, contact MM. They will cover under warranty. They simply ask for a photo of the issue and will get you a new set. MM customer service is always stellar and this is a small issue compared to an entire headlight going out lol

Grest to know, doesn’t look like water, but I’ll find out tomorrow when I have time to work on it. Thanks for the heads up.
Truth be honest, even if it’s not water, there’s a good chance morimoto will cover it under warranty. Clearly somethings not right so it’s a good chance they’ll get you taken care of

Don't worry RP, if anyone requests sarcasm or snarky answers, I'm sure you'd be in the top 3 list.

I would check the connector. One of mine I bent a tab over putting the tab connector in that didn’t want to go. Had some funky lighting going on and said that ain’t right. Fixed the tab and carefully reseated connector then twist lock the whole shebang back up and by golly I did it! ?

Just got the same side markers from Stage 3 in the mail the other day. Was planning to install them until I read card that came with it so I’m curious now. Did you use dielectric grease on install?
