Everybody seems to think 4hi is necessary for traction but I really don't think we need it THAT much.

Proper modulation of your two feet and two pedals with AdvanceTrak off and locker on can hook up pretty damn good in these trucks. Even on A/T tires.

Creature comfort on gravel roads & field. Not needed, but handles better.

For sure. I totally agree. And inclement weather.

But I'm talking about the boy racers in here with their 4hi launches. I think @Doc has proven that getting a decent 60ft or 1/4 mile time in these does not require 4hi.

I can't really see why I would need 4x4 at 60+ mph. I guess on gravel I'm still not gonna be driving 60, but, OK.

There's plenty of times I use 4hi at high speeds.

Mostly interstate travel in light snow/ice type situations. The type of stuff where an Auto or AWD option would be helpful.

I try to keep it around 65ish though at max.

That is similar usage of 4H here in Idaho during those conditions.
