I know I've seen a video or read that the maximum speed you can engage 4High is 40 mph, but does anyone know what is the fastest you can go in 4High ? Not that I'll be doing 100 mph, but maybe 60-70 mph.

Where have you seen that? The fastest I can go in mine in 4H is 120 kph (75 mph-is?). If I drive any faster the truck automatically switches to 2H. I'd be surprised if the north american ranger has different 4x4 system than global one.

in the one of the test drive videos someone said it was like 80-90mph. It was more than fast enough for typical highway speeds I know for sure. but I don't think it was over 100+

In my opinion, if you can druve 60-70 mph, you shouldn't have 4x4 engaged.
Depends on the situation but I frequently shifted between 2H and 4H on my old Ranger when driving on the NYS thruway (or country roads) in winter. When the pavement is clear I'm in 2WD, when it's snow covered I'm in 4WD. I may or may not slow down depending on the circumstances and traffic. No way I like driving a pickup on snow covered roads at highway speeds in 2WD. YMMV.

FYI - The 2019 Ranger manual states: You can move the control between 2H to 4H at a stop or when driving up to 68 mph (110 km/h).

Well I'm sure not going to get a good 60' time launching in 2WD after the tune...... I'll probably be trapping over 100mph too.

Well, obviously it's a BAD idea to use 4WD on dry pavement or even in the rain. So when you use this, it's going to be snowy or icy or you're going to be offroad, and in none of those cases should you ever been traveling at 70 MPH. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that it doesn't matter what the max speed is because nobody should ever get there.

I’ve been to 100mph. It won’t disengage even if you want it to over like 80 anyway.
