Hi All! I am planning a trip through highway 395 in CA for the first time with my new Ranger and was wondering what type of performance people are having with the high heat and desert driving, also high altitudes?

Thanks

No issues. I took it on a trip to Utah recently and it was 100+ the entire time. Went through hills, mountains, etc. she was flawless. Also, I live in Las Vegas and this week it has been 114 degrees, no issues.

I live at 5500 feet pure high desert. Rarely does my driving go below 5000 feet. No problem at all.

Also no problems here in CO! The heat doesn't get unbearable, but the altitude and mountains are a good test on a vehicle. Even with a bed full of camping supplies, half a day of driving and then a trail that took 2 hours to go 3 miles, no temperature issues or even noticed fluctuations.

Cannot speak for towing, desert driving or humid climates at the moment.

I always run 91 octane in the Ranger anyway but another Vegas Ranger owner and recently towed my 19ft travel trailer to and from Zion/Springdale, UT and the Ranger did great. You wont have any issues. Temps in Vegas were over 110F and Utah was 102F for the highs.
