Saw one the other day at my dealer.. fully loaded for 44k CAD.. I think I'll keep my ranger!:LOL:
The Maverick we looked at was a Lariat for $28,000 + $2000 dealership markup+ taxes etc.$32,000. No extras. Not a bad price though

The only recent launches of Ford's that went well were the vehicles that are made in Mexico.

The Bronco Sport and Maverick had smooth, virtually problem free launches.

The newest Explorer's, Bronco's, and Mustang Mach E's launches were a shit show in comparison.

Have you ever seen Mexican folks working?

vs American Union laborers

My FiST was built in Mexico. Initial quality was better than any other new Ford I've bought. My Ranger included.

I'd rather have a vehicle built by Mexican folk than one built by lazy union shitbags.

Mexican workers have a great work ethic, however the quality control in Mexico is not good.
I also had a Ford Fiesta that was Lemon Lawed. It wasn’t even all due to the trash transmission. Engine Malfunction that Ford couldn’t fix. It was built in Mexico.

And clearly you don’t watch Scotty Kilmer. He says Mexico Quality control is Garbage. I trust him. Not you. Case Closed.??

Scott Kilmer is not only annoying.
He's an absolute idiot. Anything he says is at most half true.

But you know what they say about opinions.

My son’s hybrid maverick we ordered in October 2021 finally showed up last Friday. I gotta say it’s pretty awesome.

Concerning Mexico Assembly Plant Workers make something like $3USD a day the wages down there absolutely are horrendous though quality from Mexico is hit or miss. If you have ever seen an actual pre Aluminum Generation Wolf F150, it blows away anything the US assembled. The interior is more tight fitting and materials look like they're premium compared to the fact you got nothing but plastic dashboards for US F150's up until the Aluminum Generation. I've gotten lucky and seen a real Mexican Assembled Wolf F150 when I was in Los Angeles once since I have often encountered a lot of cars from Baja there.

All of the small/midsize trucks are slowing growing in size. From the looks of the latest post about the Nissan Frontier , even that appears larger than the older version. I honestly miss the size of my 87 ranger, well what I really miss is that it was a beater. So its nice to see somebody offer a small pickup again. even if It's not for me ( right now) !
I kept and rebuilt my 2005 Ranger for exactly the reason you pointed out. Since going through it, it drives and handles like now. Everything new in the drive train except the axles, transfer case, and radiator. All front suspension replaced, AC compressor replaced, engine, trannie, drive shaft, shocks brakes, front ball joints, wheel bearings, and tie rod ends, alternator.

It is almost easier to list what was not replaced. Doing all of the above was far less expensive than either truck was purchased new. And Jasper offers a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty on the engine and transmission. Both have been solid.

We like to 2005 Edge 4x4 just as much as we like the 2020 Sport 4x4..
