Low Flying Bird

Good news bad news. We had an encounter with a low flying turkey. His time speed & distance was off. Good news it wasn't the Ranger, bad news it was our year old CR-V. I will find out the damages tomorrow. Dam bird flew away in to a field after it picked itself up off the road.

My previous Ford, FiST, was fond of hunting Pheasant, it killed 2 or 3 in it's lifetime. Apparently they're getting rare here on the front range? Bird hunting friend of mine was pissed, and then asked, wait a minute, where ere you at?

Ohh, and if that's a steel fender they can probably PDR it. If it's aluminum it'll probably need to be removed to be repaired.

Well, that will do it, Turkeys can hit 55 mph so impact was about 100Mph.... Ouch!

I was driving down a rural country road in my dad's 1977 2 door crown vic with the 460. being 16 I had to play with the power an was going over 100 mph when a seagull flew into the left front corner of the car. I figured the headlight cover door was gone but when I stopped an looked there wasn't a sign of any impact other than a dead bird on the side of the road.

I hit a small sparrow or other small bird one time on highway 20 between Bend and Burns, Oregon. I rented a convertible Mustang and hit it at about 110 mph! Haha… heard a “pfft” and looked in the rear view and there were a few feathers… no idea if he made it! ? Glad it wasn’t a damn turkey.
