They don't have it there because it's not available yet. It is still in the works at this timeOn their website, it didn't look like they had Ford options available in the dropdown option menus. Am i just missing it?

Sounds silly to me. As long as you are under the roght conditions you can still get fair range with these trucks. Dont get me wrong, we could still use a much bigger range but until the changes are made and verified things are still up in the air.

Actual range on the factory fuel tank is in the same ballpark with equally-configured Tacoma, Colorado, and Frontier. If you truly need more range, you need a bigger truck.

Wow - and I thought the price for a new re-manufactured fuel tank for my Studebaker truck was a little on the pricey side . . . ($495) . . . but also still factory 18 gallons as well.

Not necessarily. I used to own a frontier with a V6 and when loaded down with a trailer I could get better range with the frontier compared to the range. Why? Well that's because the ranger still has a 4 cylinder no matter how you look at it

The EPA ratings are the only objective standard, and even this is somewhat subject to purposeful tweaking by the manufacturers. All other data is anecdotal. I call this "in the ballpark."

Trust me I do understand the EPA ratings and I've been very close on the EPA ratings between my truck and the frontier I used to. But when you're loaded down with the trailer of the EPA ratings don't mean anything because the EPA ratings don't include Towing. Simple as that. At the factory you're not counting

Trust me, I do understand that you may have driven different trucks and noticed what you believe to be different fuel efficiency, But when you’re making any valid comparison you need a defined test that produces verifiable and repeatable results. Simple as that. At the factory, they do this. Your comparison is invalid because you have no objective, verifiable, and repeatable results to offer.

After pulling my trailer over 6K miles, I have verifiable and repeatable results over 40+ fill ups. I get 10.3 mpg. The range on an 18 gal tank may be fine on the East coast where gas station density is high, but it is uncomfortable in the Northwest where stations can be few and far between. The factory tank is just too small for the rated towing capacity.
