Anyone have issues with the customer service lately? I have read very good things about them here for a long time but it hasn't been my experience.

I am looking for some information on their tunes and can not get a hold of them. I have emailed twice, a week a part. I've called several times, and when I finally get through, the person isn't knowledgeable and takes my number down saying someone will call me back - nothing. I have also DM'd here.

I'm from Canada and will be in Dearborn next week and was hoping to swing by to buy the flash, so I don't have to pay shipping but now I am not so sure I want to deal with a company I can not get a hold of despite their excellent product/reputation.

I have narrowed it down to the FFP tune and the Livernois tow tune. Basically I want a tune I can tow with and don't want to flash back and forth. I want to know which tune is better for daily driving. Which makes more power, etc. I run 91 in the truck.

I have the tow tune and keep it on for daily driving. Have not flashed back and forth, it is a great daily tune too

Not sure if they would let you pick up. I would say just keep calling and be persistent if they want to pass you off

Thanks for the reply. I have read everything here at least twice about the tow tune and all the other options. I am specifically looking for the differences between it and the FFP tune. I understand Livernois makes both.

I was hoping I could buy it, install it in the parking lot and "break it in" on the drive back to Ontario.

I'll keep calling.

Cheers

I run the 91-93(?) LMS tune, but frequently hit the tow button. I tried the LMS tow tune, but didn't want to have on the whole time.

I did all this in 2019 so my memory is a bit fuzzy, from what I understand the FPP tune is slightly more conservative than the regular Livernois 91-93 tune. Tow tune is more conservative than both. Conservative as in less timing. The tow tune also has different shift points to optimize for towing. Can be used with or in conjunction with the tow button. Usually I leave the tow button off and just lock out 9th and 10th gear

I really like the tow tune. Much better than stock, but was having issues with the 91-93 tune and pre-ignition. I tow fairly regularly

If you were able to get your hands on it, you will need a computer on hand as well to update the tuner, download the stock tune and then you can use the tuner standalone to tune in parking lot

Are you towing on the regular LMS 91-93 tune? They specifically state that could cause issues as the performance tune is not intended for towing (even if you engage tow mode).

I keep the tuner in the truck in case I need to swap to the tow tune for towing. Hasn't happened yet, but I'm ready if I need to be - I don't tow a lot.

After several more calls today and being on hold, I finally got to talk to someone. They were very pleasant and helpful. I will be swinging by next week for the tune(s).

No, I should have clarified. Like others, I sometimes just like the shift strategy of tow mode for regular driving. The only towing I do is a small trailer full of brush about twice a year.

Awesome! Please report back on how it goes. I don't think anybody has done it like this.

do you own that copter ? Back around the turn of the century worked with a guy at Net App that had a Bell helicopter on order, but when the dot com boom crashed he had to cancel the order and lost his deposit money, his wife did ok though as he had already bought her a Ferrari. I had a whole bunch of stock options but with the dot com bust became worthless. the guy with the copter on order was nothing special - just got onboard early .
