Video at 22 seconds under the hood clearly shows the prop rod.

I called the dealership, they said that the struts were included on the hood on the 2022. Said they would include them if they happen to not be when arrived.Most likely a late ‘21 seeing they didn’t start building 22’s until mid to end of December and show was mid January.
Make sure you get that in writing.I called the dealership, they said that the struts were included on the hood on the 2022. Said they would include them if they happen to not be when arrived.
From the build dates people have posted it would appear that sometime between February 2021 and April 2021 the front fenders switched from aluminum to steel.
I think he's gonna be in for a strutless suprise!Make sure you get that in writing.![]()

In the dealer's showroom... of course it does!Found out that the 2022 Tremor has the hood struts on it ?

Thing is, a new Ranger owner who either buys it right off the lot (which is rare right now) or didn't do their due diligence via this site (or any other) wouldn't even notice these features missing or changed. And most would just go on living with or without those features as normal...until they either realize they can add it later or run into another fellow Ranger owner who has these features. Unfortunately for those of us who actually try to stay informed...we are "IN THE KNOW" and knowing that some had to wait for their vehicles only to find it change for worse does not help matters.
and what is UCA??
That would be me. Just discovered these forums a couple weeks ago, which is a couple weeks after I bought my truck. I did do some due diligence. Mostly you tube and consumer/auto sites, and I rented one for a couple weeks. But that was almost a year ago.
So, now at 0427 a.m. in the morning, I discover this thread, and curiosity got the better of me and I had to go check some things. I have steel bumpers, hood struts and the plugs in the rocker panels, I did find a Ranger on the lot, but was a custom build from RMT. The only other rangers they had were XT supercabs. Everything on the way in had deposits, and ordering would be at least 6 months. All I really wanted was XLT supercrew with FX4 and I wanted the leather interior. I got all that with this truck and more.

UCA=upper control arm...
Your "21" has the holes plugged in the rockers? That would be news.That would be me. Just discovered these forums a couple weeks ago, which is a couple weeks after I bought my truck. I threw my back out once,opening the hood of my 76 Monte Carlo. It did have two inces of snow on it though. Two things I learned that winter-snow is freakin' heavy, and it's possible to change a starter in under 20 minutes. Probably could have done it in ten if I still had feeling in my fingertips.I can't remember the last time I had a car with struts to hold up the hood, maybe never. The last hood that held itself up was probably with springs. The Ranger not having a prop rod was an unexpected surprise.

Mine has that little compartment.From watching various videos, seems the 2019's had a little compartment inside the glove box for the owners manual. 2020+ seems like it went away for one large space.

This one actually bothers me for some reason...
Mine has both the damper and the extra cubby which comes in handy for my registration and insurance card. This way I use the main area for my tire pressure gauge, small first aid kit, my tuner box and junk. lolMine has that little compartment.
I didn't realize that was one of the items deleted.
Side question: My glovebox door is damped. When did the damper get removed?
