Thing is, a new Ranger owner who either buys it right off the lot (which is rare right now) or didn't do their due diligence via this site (or any other) wouldn't even notice these features missing or changed. And most would just go on living with or without those features as normal...until they either realize they can add it later or run into another fellow Ranger owner who has these features. Unfortunately for those of us who actually try to stay informed...we are "IN THE KNOW" and knowing that some had to wait for their vehicles only to find it change for worse does not help matters.

and what is UCA??

You're right about all of that. I've said the same before that most Ranger owners are not usually on the forums so they'd have no knowledge of anything deleted. Some of these are really not a big deal but things like the steel fenders and now the hood struts are really pushing it. ?

Glad I bought in 2019. Paid less and all I was missing was 2 tie-downs. :handsinair:
ME TOO! I have all the bells and whistles in my '19 Lariat...lol.

I agree, all though the steel fenders FOR ME are a good thing as far as strength, bad in corrosion and weight...It's a wash i guess.

Well I think Phil has mentioned that Ford employees get comped for cost cutting - these guys aren't dumb, design a vehicle so the initial MY has lots of features, then submit a cost cutting suggestion and collect the proceeds. I once worked in a railroad car repair shop, things were slowing down with rumors of layoffs, one industrious fellow took it upon himself to create extra work by going out into the yard with his acetylene torch and proceeding to burn stuff off of the cars. A fine example of american ingenuity.

The list has really grown. Now I'm not sure this was a good idea because we can all now see what's been deleted all in one line. It might have been better having 300 threads of unorganized posts. lol :frown:
This'll put the nail in the coffin for 2022 models...

Goodness, Ford is going to delete so much stuff if you order a '23 it will arrive wrapped in a Maverick body. :frown:

I know this doesn' fit here Dave, but don't forget how Ford separates packages, and charges for each item they pull out. i.e. When I ordered my '20 STX the reverse sensors, and the 110 volt power outlet were included in the "Ford 360" package ($625). In '21 they removed the reverse sensors, and the 110V power outlet, and priced them separately ($110 & $120 respectively). And of course they didn't lower the price of the 360 package. Sneaky bastards them bean counters. :)
