These fit perfectly under the bed rails
Came in a 3 pack for $27
Rechargeable motion sensor USB
I used Velcro to stick the magnet that came with them, so they can also be removed as portable lights if needed, or easily removed to charge as needed !
Motion sensor lasts about 15 seconds
Really happy with this so far
Not waterproof but will be under tonneau and under rails so shouldn’t ever get wet!

I can’t think of a way you would be able to hard wire a switch since the only data is a USB, they are triggered individually and do not work together . The light sensitivity seems to be about a foot or 2 away from the sensor to trigger a light .
What i love about them is i put one tucked under near each side of the tailgate so when i open the gate one light triggers on each side automatically

So, with you guys using these motion sensor lights in the bed, are they insensitive enough to not go off when driving?

From the lights perspective, nothing is moving. Unless you have a bed full of crap not tied down.

How about moisture. Notice any issues?

That's what you'd think, but I'd almost expect the vibration of the road to be setting it off all the time.

But at the price of those, it would hurt just to get a set to try anyway.

This is a good temporary solution even if it’s not exactly what I want. I want something more hard wired but I have not come across what I want at a price I’m comfortable with. I may give this a shot until I find something else. Good post Noel.

I notice in one of the bed pics that you are missing a tie down. Directly below the light, there should be a tie-down screwed into those two small threaded holes. At least there are on my truck. (6 total). Just an observation, not sure if you are aware.

For a different option, here is what I did - a relatively cheap LED option:

I don't have a photo of it lit up at night, but it lights up the bed really well. For $27 (it went up $5 since I ordered it), it is a great solution for me.

I wonder how well these would work in the cold. My Colorado could certainly use some ( I have a tonneau for that ) the Ranger has a tool box for now, but will end up with a cover soon enough.

Thank you RedLandRanger. That’s a good option as well
The only issue with it is that the LED strip is a few inches too long. I just hid the extra under my BedRug at the front end of the bed so you don't see it at all. If you had a supercab it would be fine, but with the shorter crew cab bed it is just a little too long.
