They’re a universal Ford accessory. I’ve installed those on an F-250. They’re actually more of a pain to install than the Robin Electronics set I posted from Amazon. I’m going to tap into the 12V port in the bed, hide/secure the wiring and I’ll be done with it. For the same (maybe better) quality, more simple and 1/3 the price, I’ll go with the RE set over the Lumen set with Ford price gouging.

Can you post the install instructions? I'm curious to see where they recommend connecting to power.

The lights are waiting for me at the dealership along with the rubber Ranger bed mat...lol! When I get the truck this coming week, I will see if I can post the instructions.

I've researched this also..perhaps the power will be tapped into the up top Brake/Cargo light. This would make the most sense since the bed lights should emulate the cargo light on/off. For me, I would rather pay 25 bucks for the light strips and run my own wires to the cargo lamp. $279- FORD OEM is a bit to high.

The Ford kit seems very expensive.

Hello All,

I am curious, how is the warranty effected on your truck if you:

1: run your own wires and connect into the bed wiring harness as you see fit?
2. If you install the bed lights yourself even if they are Ford Parts?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of the lights before install. Powered from the 12-volt bed port wires on the harness. I have a switch and the harness power also goes OFF after a while. The cover is closed in this picture.

They are magnetic, so "stick" to the iron box.

I will be doing the same thing but I'm looking for an appropriate waterproof switch. Where did you install your switch and where did you get it?

Installed the OEM LED bed lights in my Ranger. Purchased them from my local dealer for under $200 using my FordPass points. That effectively makes them free. They are hardwired directly to the battery so they work any time you touch them, regardless of whether you have the ignition on or not. When you touch any one of them they all come on. Touch any one of them and they all go off. They also have an integral timer that shuts them off after about an hour.
