Hi Robert, welcome aboard. You've already seen how fast a thread can get derailed around here, but it is a friendly derailing

My advice is to lock up your wallet and don't let Dave @AzScorpion know if you have any extra, unwanted money lying around. That guy can spend other people's savings like both my ex-wives put together.

Welcome Robert. There is a wealth of good info on the forum. Many of us here are of advanced experience, Ha Ha. I have been on many forums and I find this one to be the best one because of the people on here. We love to help people spend money on things they didn't know they needed.
That is so true!
I've gone down to poverty level and now on food stamps since joining 5g... :frown:

Did I hear you correctly, the 2023 is still the same generation as the 2019-2022?
USA isn't getting the redesigned, longer wheelbase, version in 2023? (It won't be like the one in the attached image?)

A big welcome to you Robert!

Love my Ranger...it is my 4th truck and can honestly say the best so far. A feature I really like is the way it handles and the smooth solid ride. Its feels like it has a larger wheelbase as it tracks down the road. Have taken it on 3 substantial road trips. It has been trouble-free except for a few small glitches which were easily solved.

Please post some pics here when you get it.

This forum is great for communicating with members and getting information and advice about Rangers. A good sense of humor is required if you want to last long on here... ?

Warning ⚠ The members here have a penchant for spending other members money on mods they never knew existed or needed. They constantly search for things that didn't come with the trucks then try to get others to buy in. Cancel your Credit Cards and close your bank accounts before it is too late‼

And I'm totally fine with a slight derail. Goofing off keeps things interesting.
An overly moderated forum can ruin the natural conversation.

Welcome Robert to this great forum and Ranger pickup truck. I sure love my 2020. What colors are you kicking around at getting? I do like my Iconic Silver one but the Blue and Hot Pepper Red sure are awesome looking colors too.

You probably got the 3500 number from Google. It's frustrating. A relative wouldn't let me tow their boat because he Googled "2019 Ranger tow capacity" and 3500 pops up in big bold letters. I had to show him my manual and the door sticker before he believed me. I reported it to Google but it still shows up as 3500. Maybe if a mob of us here from Ranger5g also reported it Google would take action.
I believe that number comes from the limit for doing a bumper tow not for a properly set up ranger but yeah google is gonna google lol

I installed the factory tow package on my truck after I bought it: The wire harness just plugs in the truck.

For the most part it'll just be a daily driver.
I want the tow capacity and 4x4 because I'll need it from time to time.

I'd prefer Hot Pepper, but I'm going with blue because I'm wanting the base of the XL.
Everything as basic as possible but want a 4x4.

The ranger is great for that as a myriad of others have said on the forums doing the rear shocks will make a huge impact on road feel and handling so I would absolutely advise going with those also hot pepper looks incredible if you see it in person it may get you to bump a trim lol, do you do or see yourself doing anything where a locker would be useful? Also what cab config are you thinking?
