Thanks for the reply. Really appreciate your help.

Ordered my OBD reader, I’m going to try Forscan, probably will take some time to read/learn some basics.

I am more worried about the Bluetooth problem. Tried unpair my phone to the truck, still need to see if that works or not as the symptom is totally random. However, I noticed on my way to work this morning that the song was playing skipped about 1 sec (never happened before, and I’m sure the song is undamaged in my phone), so I think the problem maybe still there. I’m thinking I may probably just go to the dealer see if they can restore the system if the problem still exists. I will keep updating this problem.
What phone are you using?

Im using an iPhone XR, the reason I called this a problem is none of these happened before the 3.4 update, and nothing was changed on my phone. I wonder if the update was properly installed, so I’ll try to reinstall it (the 3rd time as I was trying to fix the climate issue).?

For those of you who are having issues updating or being shown that you don't have an update available, don't stress. After using SYNC 3.4 for a little while now, I don't really notice any difference from 3.3 other than looks. Maybe this is because I don't do much with SYNC other than listen to radio, stream via bluetooth from my iPhone, and use Apple Car Play, but I really don't see any functional differences at all. Save your time and stress and wait until there is a PROPER update from Ford.
Troy Thanks for this post. I feel better now. I have held off upgrading for several reasons.

1. All the trouble folks have had updating.
2. I wasn't sure that I wouldn't loose my Raptor splash screen. ( I think now I have seen that it can still be restored with Forscan)
3. I really have not seen any compelling advantages to the upgrade. The new colors just do not seem worth an upgrade. If I get bored with the ones I have I can always use Forscan to change my theme to Lincoln or something.
4. The version I have works just fine for what I do. Mostly Sat radio, USB music, basic Nav. and phone features.

I also use travel link some and like the weather map feature. Having weather radar on your screen is a good feature, even though it is slow and not very detailed. So FORD IF YOUR LISTENING if you want to do something for us, add a better weather Radar feature. It could enhance safety when traveling to know if you are heading right for a severe storm!

One last thing I miss the old My Ford Touch feature that allowed us to add our own backgrounds.

If you tried deleting your phone from sync3 and re-paired it and still has problems, I would consider trying it with a different phone, like a friend's phone or something. If it still doesn't work properly with your phone but it works with a different one, then it's a more complicated issue.

It sounds like you have already installed the update twice because you initially thought that might solve the climate problem. At this point, I doubt installing it a 3rd time will solve the Bluetooth problem, but it can't hurt to try..

What version of iOS do you have on the iPhone Xʀ? Latest version is iOS 13.6.1. Be sure that you are up to date.
Good luck.

I’ll definitely hold that update for now, no matter how big that update was. I was NOT really expecting a company like Ford would release a software update that is so shitty. I feel it just not worth the risk at this point, AND I MISS SO MUCH THAT WORRY FREE SYSTEM I HAD BEFORE.

Since the symptom is random, I’ll switch my phone for a couple of days with my wife to verify as you suggested, just to see if there’s something wrong with my phone which I highly doubt it. The song skipping is less noticeable, the lose of connection is really taking away that premium feeling of mine for the truck.?

Sounds good, I'll be curious what the result is. Hopefully your wife even has a different Phone model.

If your phone works with 3.3, and another different phone works with 3.4, then it could be a compatibility problem between your specific phone and 3.4 due to some marginality on one side or the other.

After a road trip a couple weeks ago, I was really wishing for an integrated weather/storm app too. I just use Apple Maps for my navigation and it would be great if they had a way to overlay the radar on the map while traveling. We ended up catching up to a bad storm twice on the drive. The first time it was just super heavy rain, but the second time there was a tornado. My phone alerted me of the tornado that was at the little town we were at like 7 minutes before us. Had we known that ahead of time we could have either slowed down or just stopped to let it pass by.

I'm guess I'm lucky, my 3.3 to 3.4 upgrade went off well. I thought it was done at one point and it fussed at me to put the USB drive back in, took about 45 minutes. My climate controls and everything worked just as it did before. I then followed up with the NA119 map update, which took 60 minutes for part one, then it rebooted, had me restart the truck and then it took another 40 minutes. Camera looks like it did before, voice commands working. Mine is a 2019 lariat with the 501A package, I think my build date was in January.
I'm downloading the Maps update now (filename is Sync32.zip, which is a little concerning), but I'm half afraid to stir anything up since the 3.4 went poorly for my truck. I'm getting ready to put 2000+ miles on the truck for a trip and I don't want anything else to screw up before Sunday like the 3.4 did......

Sync32 is reference to the hardware rev, 3.2. Normal for MY19+.

Thanks....I found it odd just now that when I put in my VIN, the ford site tells me I'm all up to date with SYNC3 3.3.xxxxx (which I am not) as if the 3.4 d/l never happened. 1st world problems I guess.

Well this is a huge fail so far afaict.

No black display. I was running a black display in night mode with the brightness maxed out. This is my biggest issue, just a dumb oversight and should be easy to fix.

Brightness control is there but not accessible in any mode. Not sure what happened here but this is okay now.

In audio mode the 1st bank of Sirius presets is offset to the right. Still needs a fix but if you touch any of the preset buttons it snaps into place.

In audio mode they got rid of the presets button used to cycle thru the preset banks so now you have to cycle thru all the audio options to get back to a bank you've passed. Okay, figured this out, you can swipe on the preset buttons to switch between the different banks. Nice.

That damn connect a device message is still there I think. Still there but goes away on it's own after a few seconds. Pretty sure you had to hit OK before.
Update in blue.
