Is there any disadvantage to a SuperCab?

Without reading the whole thread (and I hope I haven't already replied), beyond the obvious differences, one thing that disappointed me with the SCAB is there is no B&O on the lariat trim, even though the price for the option is the same. I understand there is no room for a sub woofer, but either don't charge me full price, or give me a B&O head unit and upgraded speakers.

It's a small beef, and I think the stereo sounds fine. But, it's just principle.

Totally agree! Ford should have adjusted the price accordingly...

That does kind of suck. I wonder if they were able to take advantage of the longer door in the Scab and put in large door speakers to make up the difference.

Side Note: No Scabs in Lariat trim in Canada. No 2WD 5g Rangers of any trim level here either.

@Dgc333 How do you carry them? I had placed a 12'6" sit-on-top diagonally in the bed but with the gate up and it stuck out a good amount. I always thought I'd use a headache rack if we had rigid kayaks (but that gets away from why we do the inflatables, the lifting up wreaks havoc with my compressed and herniated discs - bah on abusing my back in my youth and motorcycle accidents).

I just put them in the bed with the tailgate down. I use a ratchet strap routed under the skirt lip on the copit to secure them. As with anything longer than your vehicle I tie a florescent flag to the bow of one of them.

LOL, I use red shop rags - not exactly a safe option!

So that's not a bad lift, I could handle that (I used to put them on top of a Corolla but was beating up that car and my shoulders!). =D

I can't say enough good about the supercab.

BUT ... that's highly personal. I did fit my daughter-in-law in the back for a quick trip to Harbor Freight, but that's something that will rarely happen.

The supercab is good for me and Kate and Cheech! He's a little tough guy at 20 pounds and the supercab rear (with custom mattress so he can see out) is just big enough.

We also like how easy it is to access the small bit of space without needing to walk around a rear door.

The extra foot in the bed was critical for or summer kayaking, the supercrew bed would have been frustrating for us.

I love, love, love the supercab. =)

Shoot, looks like a clever way to cut your lumber to size as you drive - smart move, you get home and do your project - no saws needed!

Can you just imagine the damage to the C pillar on, what looks to be a Corolla looks like?

Believe it or not, I was at a HD store Sunday morning and saw a customer try to rip sheets of MDF on the store's panel saw on his own, surprised the store doesn't have any lockout device on the saw.

Willing to bet they do now...lol

Other than space (cabin and bed), is there any disadvantage for the SuperCab? Aren't they all rated the same for everything other than trim level and the cab size? I will be towing eventually.

Before I make a 30K+ mistake, any help is appreciated. I don't need 4door. 2021 xlt

Every Home Depot I’ve been to here has a pin pad to enable the employee to activate those saws. Maybe it’s a Canadian thing?

On multiple occasions the pin numbers were 1 2 3 4, I looked at the employee and he said " nobody can remember the numbers, so we keep it simple". ??
