I was working on installing the Ford factory TBC and finally pried the 3rd brake light connector from body. It was a swift jolt, so I paused and reconnected the battery to ensure that the I did not screw up the wiring to the 3rd brake light. The light did not come on, so I pulled the light from the back of the cab and readjusted the wires. This solved the problem, but I discovered a new one. The third brake light blinks or pulses in a rhythmic fashion. One long, 3 short then it just stays on. I snapped a pic of the wiring up to the third brake light and I think purple piece this was installed by the dealer before I bought the truck.
So the main question: Is this blinker or pulsing going to affect my trailer brakes? If the Ford Redarc module pulls from the third brake light, will it power on and then the pulses before staying on?
Secondary question: What do I need to do to remove the blinker module installed on the truck?
