Ford TBC Install, Now 3rd Brake Light Not Working

I just finished installing my FORD brake controller on my 23 XLT, while not difficult, it's a big pain in the A$$. The plastic panels suck to remove and even worse to put back. I had nothing but trouble with the connector at the 3rd brake light, it refused to connect, no matter how hard I pushed. Ended up removing the white plastic piece sticking out of the connector, then it went right in. The gain knob seems to be working, it lights up blue momentarily, but no 3rd brake light when I step on the brakes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would double-check the third brake light connectors. The brake controller just taps into that connector, so the wire to the brake light must not be making contact or the wires were not inserted into the connector properly or in the correct order.
