Well done! Can you share some pics of the dipstick install?

I too would like to see the dipstick installed. Also is it big enough to actually fill through?

Yes, I just put a small funnel into the hose directly and it can be filled cleanly. I had temporarily removed the dipstick to put the OEM assembly back in and have been lazy to reinstall it. I will get a photo in the next couple weeks.

Yesterday I took my wife's 2019 Ranger to my local Ford dealer and had them remove the transmission pan, drain whatever transmission fluid came out, replace the transmission filter and reinstall the new PPE deep transmission pan (brushed finish). It took almost 9 qts. of Motorcraft MERCON ULV Automatic Transmission Fluid XT-12-QULV to refill the transmission to the proper level.

For those of you interested here's the parts list:

PPE Deep Transmission Pan (brushed finish) - 328053110
OEM Transmission Filter - L1MZ-7A098-A (Motorcraft Part # FT215)
Seal - Transmission Filter - 7T4Z-7Z302-A (not included with the transmission filter)
Gasket - Transmission Pan - HL3Z-7A191-B

I will be doing this same thing next week with my 2019 F150

Thanks for the list!

Like the idea of having more fluid and the cooling fins must be a plus. I don't have many miles on the Ranger and my wife's F150 yet.

How many miles did you have on your truck?

Just under 9,000 miles. The F150 just turned 3,000 miles

It can be if in good condition.

I NEVER reuse gaskets or seals regardless of what the manufacturer states. Not worth the risk of a leak.
Depends on what they’re made of. Silicone I would agree. Buna N I would reuse if in good condition. They can last for many years undamaged.

HD went to the metal/rubber gaskets an I reused them on the easy to reach ones. I put new ones on areas that require a ton of work to replace. I haven't had one leak yet. HD's are know for leaking before the shift to these gaskets.

What did the dealership charge you if you don’t mind me asking?
